point 1 - i know it happened last season too, my point was until we as a club got a load of money, it never happened at all.

point 2 - did you fucking read my post where i said i'm on the cup scheme, i got to every home match, so where did i say i care about getting the "best deal"? my points were that is is unfair of the club not to refund the difference to others, or they should advertise when they first go on sale that a percentage will be sold at a fiver when only a week to go.

point 3 - again, did you read? i haven't got stung, i'm a season ticket holder so the everton game was part of my season ticket and this one was free in the 3 for 2.

point 4 - yeah i fucking do call you selfish. How do YOU get that I am selfish for caring??!?!?! I care when people are shafted. You don't. Don't you call me a selfish bastard, don't you fucking dare, you know sod all about me!

As for a couple of others who quoted my post - no i'm not sat here hitting refresh, i checked once, and am not logging off to nip out then go to the match. YOU may be sat hitting refresh, as some of you have a billion posts and obviously spend all day sat doing just that.
And th other bloke who mentioned sarcasticly about how pensioners and kids sit around him at different prices, well fuck me how thick of me to not realise that! (cue sarcasm). My post mentioned about people "the same age" paying different amounts. Get it? I bet you don't get it often..

And i stick to the point of i'm sick of people acting like those of us who buy match tickets at anything other than a fiver are rolling in money.

some city fans on here are sooooooooo i'm alright jack that they really don't give a shit about anything else other than themselves.
You need to chill mate, do drugs or something....

But not pot over a prolonged period as that would make him paranoid.

That isn't the clubs fault or problem mate.

Im sure you feel pissed but the reality is mate you have fook all to feel pissed about.

Next time sit and wait if you think there is a better deal to be had.
How can I just sit and predict that a better deal will come along?

I'll go and get my crystal ball shall I?

That is the whole point!!! You can't. It may happen. It may not. Like waiting til last minute to buy a holiday in the hope the prices will come down. You buy a ticket at a price you are happy with. You have the peace of mind of having secured your ticket. If you wait and it sells out, tough. If you buy early, it doesn't sell out and then they lower prices, then tough again.

Stop worrying what other people are paying and it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

Back in the day did any of the older posters double up on the turnstiles or just climb over them as kids - or ever use a junior ticket even though you were older etc?

Maybe it's karma ;-)

no point mate he doesn't read posts or if he does he doesn't understand them. as a goodwill gesture the club should refund fans that paid full price....even the banks paid back charges for 3yrs before the court case as a goodwill gesture.

You say I don't read or understand posts followed by likening this to banks over charging for overdraft fees.

You are correct, I am the stupid one.

You are also correct that there is no point continuing with that line of argument as it won't change my mind as it is, well.... wrong. (as can be seen from the majority posting on here taking the piss).

but thats not City's fault bob... they had the offers on for loyal blues as well as JCL's so nobody is being subsidised.

City have made the effort with the offers but because your domestic circumstances didn't match the timescales of City selling tickets your haveing a moan.

your quote Bob
are the club going keep making the loyal blues subsidize the part timers ?.

all i ask is that i get treated the same. or are all the newbies more importants than those of us who have always been here ?

The answers to your questions are that the club are treating everyone the same... the offers were not a secret.

The club would have earnt less though wouldn't it. Hence the club not giving refunds. Understand yet?
mate i can't be arsed anymore i think it's wrong of the club (which without the fans wouldn't fuckin exist) to treat genuine fans prepared to pay £20 the way they are by not offering a refund and you think it's perfectly fine to fuck fans over whilst at the same time allowing anyone who wouldn't go to a game ever unless it was a fiver to profit(because i'd say 99% of city regulars already had their ticket)....thats fine to have your opinon and i'll stick with mine.

If 99% of City regulars HAD bought a ticket, then the club wouldn't have had to lower the prices.

Also, you say the "proper" fans bought tickets early and so lost out on the £5 deal. If they bought early enough, they would have got the game free on the 3 for 2 offer! You can't have it both ways.

-- Wed Dec 01, 2010 4:53 pm --

You said YOU missed the Poznan game, YOU missed the Juve game, You have been fucked £30.

YOU haven't. Together YOU and your mum have paid a price you were happy with.
I can see we're havng the same argument but we're arguing points that miss eachother's.

There really isn't a point in this. If you'd done exactly the same thing as me, you would be pissed off. Surely?

No mate, I buy my tickets early, holidays early etc etc. I always ending up talking to someone who has a better deal than mine. I just rationalise that if I was happy with what I paid at the time, then I shouldn't worry about what someone else paid.

they specifically waited till 6 days before the game to reduce the prices because they have a policy that doesnt allow for refunds 7 days before a match. it was calculated so that those who paid full whack couldnt get refunds and get the reduced price tickets.

so much for loyalty. anyway i'm done arguing the toss.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

There are certain people at the club who have lost sight of this being a football club with fans and not just a company with customers.

This person/persons have to justify their position by maximising revenues at all cost.

If that means fairness towards fans or ensuring that, going forward, long term fans get as much of a chance of being part of 'the matchday experience' as cash rich Johnny-come-lately then, whilst they may regret it slightly, they are not bothered.

Those considerations take a massive back seat because their position requires them to wring out every last fecking penny out of everyone in order for them to justify themselves.

The UEFA rules excuse is just that, an excuse, but every decision made on tickets and pricing over the last two years points towards the person making the decisions being more cut throat than any such decision maker in the history of the club and only, regardless of impact on fans, concerned with profit margin.

The singular bad point since the take over, although I suspect that these decisions are more driven from people 'here' justifying their 'business expertise' than in Abu Dhabi.
