no point mate he doesn't read posts or if he does he doesn't understand them. as a goodwill gesture the club should refund fans that paid full price....even the banks paid back charges for 3yrs before the court case as a goodwill gesture.

You say I don't read or understand posts followed by likening this to banks over charging for overdraft fees.

You are correct, I am the stupid one.

You are also correct that there is no point continuing with that line of argument as it won't change my mind as it is, well.... wrong. (as can be seen from the majority posting on here taking the piss).

SWP's back.

Are you going to the game tonight?

Yes I am. Fancy a Bovril?
How much did you pay for your ticket?

Nah, I prefer Cola.

should have bought the three games. My ticket for tonight is ONE PENCE !! Anyone else noted that on the 3 for 2 offer.

i did but for £90 as i had to get them a couple of weeks before each game due to childcare issues

Well that is hardly the clubs fault. You could have bought the 3 for 2 deal for £50 and gambled on going to atleast 2 of the 3 games. You would have been £20 down if you could attend one, £10 up if you attended 2 or £40 up if you attended all 3.

It was your choice to wait.

Look, if you go to a prostitute just after she's had her 'fix' then you pay premium rate for a blow job, the closer she is to needing her next 'fix' the price goes down the more desperate she gets for cash, simple really. Apply that rule in life and you'll be ok.
[not wanting to be sexist, i'm sure the same would apply to male prostitutes aswell just for some of you niche market types]
Hope my response has helped enormously to the OP.

ffs lmao.
You go to some dodgy brass!!

I dont want the club to revise the price. I only paid ONE PENCE At the momrnt we cant get out of our drive with snow so feel really robbed by club if I dont get refund cause of snow

You need bovril on a cold night. Burns the crap out of your mouth but keeps the hands warm.

Not sure what I paid for my ticket. I am a SC holder (I have 2 so I can take a mate/gf/dad etc) and part of the cup scheme and both get debited from my account at random times). I am guessing I was part of the 3 for 2 offer.

I couldn't attend the Juve game so gave both my tickets to mates that can't normally afford to go for £16 quid each.

yes another cold business like response. my choice to buy each ticket 2/3 weeks before each match because i didnt want to pay for a match and not be able to attend because i have nobody to look after my 2 year old daughter. yes stupid me for giving city £90 of my hard earned for 3 cup games. and no i don mind doing that even though people got the 2 for 3 as i knew about that scheme, accepted it and made a choice.

the £5 thing is totally different imo

It's getting like Price Drop TV rather than a ticket office, and I really think the club need to get their act together to avoid alienating the core fanbase in future.

When the next cup game comes around and they want £30 a ticket tonight's cheapo crowd of rags, neutrals, JCL's and tourists will be nowhere to be seen. They'll be relying on these same hardcore fans they have pissed off tonight by charging a 'loyalty premium' of £25 and I wouldn't blame any one of them for not bothering.

If you can't see why they would have a valid grievance then I hope you don't work in any customer service role I encounter in future. To use another analogy it's like the 'brand new customers only' advert. I thought the Value Season Card was a flawed idea for similar reasons but this is worse. Shocking.

I don't buy that the takeover has bad for ticket prices, and certainly not for City regulars. Check the figures, the increase in season ticket revenue has been less than the increase in season ticket holders. Obviously the more season ticket holders there are, there are fewer people paying the higher ticket prices - which admittedly have gone up. We've got kids in for £95, which is £5 more than Accy Stanley, to come and see Tevez, Silva, Balotelli, do I need to go on? We've got the 18-21 price bracket helping out most students. We've got value seasoncards for £250, £13 a match! No doubt that will cause others to moan though. The club can't win it seems. As for me, I'm happy clapping away thinking right now we're the luckiest club on the planet.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

There are certain people at the club who have lost sight of this being a football club with fans and not just a company with customers.

This person/persons have to justify their position by maximising revenues at all cost.

If that means fairness towards fans or ensuring that, going forward, long term fans get as much of a chance of being part of 'the matchday experience' as cash rich Johnny-come-lately then, whilst they may regret it slightly, they are not bothered.

Those considerations take a massive back seat because their position requires them to wring out every last fecking penny out of everyone in order for them to justify themselves.

The UEFA rules excuse is just that, an excuse, but every decision made on tickets and pricing over the last two years points towards the person making the decisions being more cut throat than any such decision maker in the history of the club and only, regardless of impact on fans, concerned with profit margin.

The singular bad point since the take over, although I suspect that these decisions are more driven from people 'here' justifying their 'business expertise' than in Abu Dhabi.

so a match ticket for tonights game being 1p is cut throat is it.

and the rest of that negative post relates to every club in the country.... its called the real world..... and for city to sell tickets for £5 for tonights game is a great gesture.... the minority who paid £25 (also a good price) are pissed off because they bought at the wrong time.

What pisses me off is the fact that City do great things like the ticket offers and the community gestures, the free tickets to soldiers, the charity work and the £5 kids ticket offer for Prem football and much more..... yet you choose to forget all that and focus on a moan by a minority of fans that bought at the wrong time.
