But I do think many of it's members and referees are intimidated by Sir Red Nose, and as a result favour United. Imagine giving a penalty to the opposite team against United that puts the game out of their favour. They will then get a tongue lashing from Fergie, and he won't be punished for it due to the "respect" he "deserves".
EDIT: A journalist or something needs to get wind of that Fulham article, could cause some damage.
I agree. It's not corruption, it's not bribary; it's that everyone is gutless as fuck and scared to death of a Fergie backlash. We see and hear his poison words and actions, he doesn't hold back does he? But just imagine the shit he pulls that we don't see or hear. Imagine the extremity of strongly worded letters and phone calls that Fergie makes behind closed doors, I'll guarantee he threatens people in a way that intimidates everyone. Thus EVERYONE walks round in egg shells for Man U-fuckin-nited and they get all these decisions their way.
I said recently in a thread asking why we're not quite a top team yet and one of my reasons was because Mancini hasn't been here long enough and MCFC haven't been at the too long enough to command this sort of respect and fear factor.
Exactly (although it does make it a "a corrupt system")
