No Yaya in the team...

1 game, you're highlighting one game to back up your point? Ok

absolutely not , the dipper game is an example , Spurs, West Ham , Leicester , Arsenal , Everton all played the high press game , perhaps you can inform , how many of these games we won ? A lot of posters on this forum believe Yaya is not now good enough to play in our first eleven for 90 minutes , but still has a big part to play at the club , perhaps you can give an alternative opinion instead of a one line off the cuff pointless comment ......................OK

Looking forward to replacing him in the summer. Similar(ish) to Manuel, I'm appreciative of everything he's achieved with us but I'm just excited that we will be improving upon what we already have.

I'm still stunned when I see that people think he will be transformed into a centre back or that Pep will want him at all.

Spurs? When he was playing advanced? Arsenal didn't press high either, they countered us. Leicester tried to counter us too and Everton for that matter.

I'm of the same opinion that he needs to be utilised better in terms of minutes played. I never said otherwise.

No one is following the crowd , you just have a different opinion , which is why a forum is a mighty fine place to meet intellectual people like yourself , with often varied and interesting views .

Perhaps not, perhaps I'm on the defensive because I'm being asked what I am, which I found a bit disrespectful, I am after all just giving my opinion.

disagree with your first comment , not every team has beaten us with counter attacking football , but agree that Yaya is not a 90 minutes player at approaching 33 years of age.

If, as was suggested by Manuel yesterday, he knew about Pep's contract one month ago, it may not be a coincidence that Yaya's form has dipped since that time. He knows he will be moving on and some players when they are aware of big changes start thinking about their future, will not go full tilt into tackles etc. We all know Yaya loves to be the fulcrum of a team and even the biggest supporters of his talent has to admit he has been out of sorts - this maybe the reason? We also know he doesn't fit into Pep's style.

Come to think of it, the game that Everton beat us Yaya was playing advanced in that one too.

He will be off to Inter this summer with our blessing.
Definitely will not fit into Peps style of play.
Will help reduce our wage bill although I suspect we will end up subsidising his move as no way can Inter afford his wages...
Pep luv players that can hold ball not kick and run players. The president of Bayern munich was complaining of pep's style of play, which is Barca's style of play. Pep luv ball possession.
