Non england followers World Cup 2014

I support England but I get why people don't. For me it's a case of the media pretty much ruining it for most with the constant parade of shit they spew. The itv pundits, the insane articles (omg we didn't win the world cup lets end the world), the hit pieces against the manager and players. Mostly that last one, does anyone remember a time where there wasn't a takedown piece around every major tournament? Hell last week we qualified and roys a racist.

Stop reading and hearing about England and you'll start liking them again guaranteed

he 1970 team was for me better than the 66 Winners. Quality wise only 2nd to Brazil in that tournament.
That's very true.

How to watch England.
Forget the internet... forget the media and hype... don't read the papers about anything to do with England for four days before the fixture.

Tune in or go down the pub and watch the game..... lovin' it again.
(With the exception of the Danny Wellshit selection).

Please don't take this as a dig at England as it really isn't meant that way. I've never understood why some fans and the media get so worked up about England at World Cups. Apart from 1966 at a home tournament England have never achieved anything at national level. England are not a top nation and 1966 aside, never have been. The records of the real giants like Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina etc put England to shame. As for Wales, we never even qualified for 1958 under conventional methods.
argentina won it once in 78 and done fuck all since, italy fluked it(with baggio ?)... we get through the group, I GUARANTEE NO ONE WILL WANT TO PLAY US IN THE KNOCKOUT STAGES... COME ON ENGLAND!!!

as a Welshman, and as a nation that hasnt qualified for a tournament since 1958! every tournament i watch is from a neutral perspective.

I always want the british sides to do well mind.

but every World Cup ive watched, and the earliest one i can remember is Mexico in 1986, ive always wanted Brazil to win it. I enjoy watching Holland and Spain too. Cant stand the italians or germans. I also like watching the "minnows" having their few weeks of fame.

Just wish that Wales would qualify just once in my lifetime
Got no chance . Best chance Wales had to qualify were the 80s . When you had Ian Rush and Mark Hughes .

had a drink, but dont count this, cheating twats... haha... still stand by the fact NOBODY will want us in the knockout stages

I honestly think the English are one of the only set of fans who don't like international football..i don't know if it's because of the premier league or if it's the apathy shown towards the England team ..I'm Chilean and despite my disappointment when the international break comes (because I prefer watching city over anything else) I still enjoy watching my country play against the likes of Argentina Colombia Brazil and the rest of South America ..maybe South Americans just see international football differently

Priorities for international football:

1. City players don't get injured.
2. City players play well - boosting confidence and maintaining form.
3. Rivals' players don't play well.
4. Rag players get injured.
