Terrible design, looks like Chelsea's mismatch stadium.

Each to their own but I think it looks fantastic and so do the majority of blues

The council still own it.They used to get 50% of all ticket sales above the Maine Road capacity but ADUG agreed a flat yearly fee with them before the South stand expansion (a few million quid a year, I believe). ADUG did look at buying it outright at one point but when they found out that the money wouldn't go to the council but to Sport England in London they decided to keep paying rent instead which benefits the local area.

IIRC the club can buy it whenever they want, and the cost to do so goes down every year.

I think it looks a bit of a frankenstein from above, with the asymmetrical hotel bolted onto the stand, but it's worth remembering no one experiences buildings from above, and it looks great from the ground level views.

Are they putting screens back up in the south stand so that those of us in the lower tier of the north stand can see whatever the rest of the ground is watching? If not they can get lost and I'll be raising my objections to the planning application
