People can sing in any section of the ground where there’s a will to do so. Equally, congregating all the recognised singers in South Stand Level 3 can result in a flat atmosphere like on Saturday. I just hope Danny Wilson and co aren’t so greedy that they do t try to squeeze loads of corporates into the expanded North Stand. The Sky Platform or whatever it’s being called is another matter. Is there any evidence of this at the Etihad?
I’ve sat in several hospitality areas including the ‘premium seat’ 93:20 and they are definitely quieter than even the average block, never mind the main singing areas like SSL1 or the back of SSL3.
FWIW,I was in the Tunnel Club for the West Ham game last season (the only time I’ve been in there) when Peo waived his arms to get a reaction from the fans. I started a chant of Come on City that spread around the ground.
We don’t get to see Haaland and even Foden without the corporate money so it’s better if we try to encourage chanting right around the ground.
