Do you think he did a James Bond and whipped out his Minox when nobody was looking?Share please, I’m sure others want to see as well!
You're right of course, no-one is going to collapse in a heap because of what I feel will happen :)I don’t recon that you’ve crushed anyone’s hopes IMB.
As you very honestly mentioned, it‘s how you ‘think’ it will play out, and nobody gets crushed by a guess because they ain’t that heavy.
Your guess might prove to be absolutely accurate (if I had to guess it would be my guess too) but, if that is the case, it will be the reality that proves the burden.

Interesting. This means thousands more people holding phones up for 95 minutes. The only new season tickets I can envisage will be a handful of corporate ones, once the extension is completed I imagine that people will be able to relocate, but the seats vacated will become match day tickets sold to the new found fans, as they will make a hell of a lot more money out of them than they do the regular season ticket holder. There’s a new 400 bedroom hotel in this new development, so you can imagine the cost of a match package in there, with double, triple and family rooms you could be looking at the best part of 1000+ fans each match having to be supplied with a ticket, then the once in a season even lifetime visitor will probably spend 200-300 quid each in the store along with food and drink on top, this being at every home game, how much do you spend per match? See where I’m coming from the legacy fans are not coughing up enough till match by match whereas the new fans/tourists of the future will happily do so, along with happily snapping up all the boycotted tickets for the community shield. We’ve always said how united have been doing this for years, well we’re even going to put them 20 more years behind us off the pitch as well as on it once the nort stand extension is completed.
Obviously you won’t have the pic of this but can you sketch any kind of reasonable likeness and post?I’ve seen concept plans for an 85000 capacity stadium achieved by building the east and west stands out to envelop the spirals with a fourth tier.

I've seen them but not got them !!Share please, I’m sure others want to see as well!
4 Tiers on the two side stands would look incredible, get it done!!I’ve seen concept plans for an 85000 capacity stadium achieved by building the east and west stands out to envelop the spirals with a fourth tier.

So just to be clear a fourth tier higher than the top of the current third tier or a continuation of the third tier further back also expanding the corners?I've seen them but not got them !!
The draft concept is
really quite simple.
Construct a fourth tier enveloping the east & west spirals to include
large Corporate and F&B concourses.
The plans I was shown indicated a capacity of 85000. Personally I thought it would've been higher.
Little or no additional ground required.
Smart.......and practical.
Dont shoot the messenger !!
Or 1000s of empty seats midweek against LutonInteresting. This means thousands more people holding phones up for 95 minutes.
The last few seasons the amount of season ticket holders selling their seats for midweek and less glamorous games, through various sites and officially through City has been increasing, and I’d expect City are keeping a very close eye on all this and collate all the information in their best interest for maximum revenue match by match, if people have season tickets and don’t use them why release more. Let’s be honest we all know someone who has a season ticket and only uses it themselves for six or seven games a season.Or 1000s of empty seats midweek against Luton
I think they’ll offer half new season tickets and the rest for day trippers, although I think the new expansion will all, be season tickets. There are two things that the club are doing in this area that I think are really underhand. Firstly, they will not say that the many people who have been waiting for the opportunity to buy a SC at some point have actually got any chance of ever getting more than a Silver version at best. Even worse, in my view, is that they won't say if those that had a full SC but went Silver as it was presented as a money saving option in difficult times will ever have the chance to revert back to Gold. Both are incredibly sneaky and blatant money grabbing tactics.
I never thought you did say I was wrong btw but as you correctly pointed out it was my opinion of what may well happen (yours too by the sound of it).I didn’t say that you were wrong IMB, didn’t even intimate it.
I think there’s a good basis for what you presume the outcome will be and in fact I said that if I had to guess then I’d guess the same.
My point was that we’re both guessers and that nobody will be ‘crushed’ by anyone’s guessing because guesses don’t have sufficient weight whereas actual outcomes often do.
New roof?I've seen them but not got them !!

New roof?
Exactly and what a huge and expensive job that would beSafe to say they won’t be able to add a 4th tier without a new roof… :)
