Yes i have just been down - moved on hugely this last couple of weeks.
I remember driving past every day as they started clearing the land and building the stadium for the games. Look at us now. Absolutely unbelievable. And the team aint too bad either.

The towers look near ready for the cable transfer. Would be good to get some footage of it happening. Guessing it will be before the end of the month - hopefully!
I imagine they will want to go straight into it or prepping for it tomorrow once the stadium is cleared.
A thought I've had for a couple weeks, but supressed it till this final game.
If there is hopefully a pitch invasion (hopefully in the sense it would mean we will have won the title), I wonder how Sisk's contract deals with that. I.e they will no doubt have a clause about making good any damage done in the off season during their dismantlin of and storing of the roof from/on the pitch. But that won't cover any other potential damage by anything else. Not that you would expect much, in fairness. But there is a slight potential it could get a bit muddy, pardon the pun.

Will the North stand be closed ir reduced capacity next season? Assume the upper tier will be closed
As I understand it, no.
They will build behind it, and above it, keeping it partially covered. For the best part at least, there will be some point to join the two.

Having watched the video, you can see they are itching to get the existing supports out the way.
The towers look complete (phase 1 that is). Throughout this, you were almost able to tell what goes on next, by what they have laid out neatly on the ground next to the towers. The beams laid out on the ground now, look like the infill sections ready to go on. But they can only do that with the supports out the way, and the fact they are there and ready, suggests this shouldn't be far off. Otherwise they'd be at the back of the compound where the rest are kept. You can also see they have laid quite a lot of the profiled decking for the floors, at least on the first 3 levels. But they can't take this to the edges, till the infill bits are in, and there is profiled sheets laid out too, ready to continue. It is coming.

I still can't see where the new cables are going, it can't be under the existing ones as they'd never get the stanchion out I'd have thought. So if over the top then the three plates on each tower would look most likely that follow the curve of the new roof? Given they're "only" supporting their share of the load from the E & W roofs and the cable net itself I'm watching with great interest.
What do you mean by new cables?
The current cables are staying where they are. They are getting reconnected to an anchor in broadly the same location. The counter-tension is being transferred to the two outer back posts of the cage, and the middle back line. Instead of to ground as is the case now. The back cables are getting binned, as is the pier.
The truly 'new' cables, will come much much later, when the new roof starts going and the quadpods are in place. About 3-5m above the existing ones at the lowest level at the stand edge, and about 25m above at the highest point.

More time, I think. The rear part of the roof will be removed off season as I understand it. The front part over the upper tier will stay. It will be propped below, and still supported off the transferred cables. The new roof will be built above it, while it stays in place. The following off season, it will then be removed, but the new one will be in place then.
Have a look at the wee gif I did on page 997. We are currently at step 3. Step4 is the transfer. The new roof and cables @Centurions is step 9, removing the final bit of roof is last. AS I read it, from what is currently available.
