North Stand Construction Discussion

Don’t even go there.

I’m starting to feel bad about no lift yet.

Maybe I should have stayed quiet and not said anything?

You can only go off what people say to you. After watching what was going on for quiet a while, the person I spoke to who was in charge, and seemed genuine and honest about what he told me.

I am only messing mate. No it was a great bit of chat to ask and get told about, maybe the plans have changed, or maybe a 6.30 start just involves that much preparation and coordinating. Or they could be waiting for the temperature to rise by as little as 2 degrees. Not for the workers btw, but the equipment and connections.

Very little activity around it at all, the other cranes are quite active but that new one hasn’t moved at all

You and others know how it is in the construction industry.(not making excuses for the lift not happening yet) There are numerous things that can set things back.(including duff information)

I’m guessing. It’s 10am. If the lift doesn’t start soon or before midday, will it happen?

It looks like an apology is incoming to you from me. :-(

Are you going to stay a bit longer, or are you going to call it a day?

In a worst case scenario all I can do is to apologise to CP Overview and SS Skies for wasting their time, if the lift doesn’t happen today. Or throw myself off one of the towers during the night.
This is as busy as it’s been (picture of ssskies controller screeen)

What's the temperature?

The tempature is only going to drop during the day as cold weather comes down from the North, and rain comes in from the west, leading to significant snow fall tomorrow. I’m assuming when that happens there won’t be a lift until the weather improves later in in the week?

Has anyone estimated how long the lift will take and then how long to fix it securely? If the weathers turning, perhaps they've knocked it back for a few days?
