How about a virtual theme park? Would suit Manchester as mainly in door Universal are building one in Bedfordshire
....and even more to come with the shifting of away fans down to ESL1/SSL1 making SS3/2 all City.Today we have the whole of the North Stand extension and hotel complex under HHSM. Giving us a ground to be increasingly proud of going well into the 21st Century displaying our growth as a club, demonstrating our owners and execs vision and commitment to future prosperity and success.
Under he of the Cuban heels it was "behold I give you the.....totally underwhelming Umbro Stand!" A statement of declining influence and shrinking attendence along with our declining hopes and dreams.
We have a lot to be thankful for.
4473 posts, 1000 of which are about moving the away fans [emoji6]....and even more to come with the shifting of away fans down to ESL1/SSL1 making SS3/2 all City.
The young Sheikh loves the idea of two City ends and is pushing for the announcement.
Manchester thanks you Sheikh Mansour.
DELICIOUS !!
If you, or someone else of course, were to make a few predictions about what they would build on the collar site, what would you guess?
I think a lot of City fans jaws are going to hit the ground on Saturday when they see how far the North stand has come along since the last home game.
I would not be surprised if by then the whole of 'the shell' of the skybar section is fully built. And by that I mean the bottom beams, the mid-floor beams, and both vertical sides, one being the truss at the back the other on top of the terraces to the front.
The roof, once the rest of it is ready to start, as it is part of the overall stand roof and ties in with that. Although there do appear to be nodes for beams just below the main roof line so maybe they might gey those in ahead to brace the whole thing.
Looking at @jrb ’s pictures the far left and right are also missing.I really am so intrugued over that misisng horizontal in the middle section now, what the reason for that is.
Could possibly be marked to show which have been tightened up (torqued up) to the correct tension,Is there any particular reason that the fishplate(s) towards the top of the skybar framework seem to have multi-coloured bolts connecting them? I thought it may have been an artifact of the camera processing at first but it only seems to be there?

Vertigo inducing. How do people even go up on those cherry pickers? What did they do before they existed when erecting steel at heights? There are Empire State Building clips of erecting steel that I cannot watch. Not the same scale or scenario but equally as unwatchable.Like I said yesterday, the last set of pictures are mostly construction workers in the cherry pickers working on the steel structure. The pictures include the ends of the steel structure joining the stand.
My next set of pictures will be in 4 weeks time when the construction site closes for Christmas. Hopefully there will be a few changes by then, like glazing going in on the hotel, etc.
The cherry picker pictures are in no particular order.
