Looking at the plans, drone videos and photos one thing I can’t picture from what’s already assembled is how the hotel connects to the back of the stand towers.

I'm assuming that this will be a bridge of some that will be supported by the towers and hotel structure. There are no further supports to be added between the two as it will remain a through walkway.

I have highlighted this before to someone else, let's see if I can find it again.

They have only got to that level in the last week btw, and the connection is yet to be built.

The buildings will be connected part way up to the towers so that there is a tunnel for people to pass through City Square without needing to walk all the way around.





May be wrong but could see steel works starting at the towers and built across to the structure of the buildings. The exterior will match the design of the buildings so it all blends together.

See below for the hotel bedroom floor with rooms onto the pitch. As Hellocity points out in his post above, the linking element has not yet started between the tower and the back of the concrete floor plates built so far.

The floor highlighted in orange here is actually part of the hotel, and links to the rest of the top floor of the hotel. That's the rooms in the stand that look onto the pitch.

Also I’ve been told Holiday Inn will be running the hotel. Has that been mentioned before?

No problem, you do plenty for us on here and I am grateful for the updates. It will be interesting to see what will have changed this week next time you get the drone in the air.

There is still a long way and plenty weeks to catch.

I'm assuming like most sites in the UK, this one will shut from the second week in December till sometime in January. So that one could be your last one till mid January.
