Sorry, I was talking about the perforations in the alumunium horizontal panels. Must have misunderstood.

Those won't be glass. Just a case of colour and finish really.

Ah , so the vertical dark panels are some sort of acrilic , I assumed they were glass

No the verticals are opaque glass
(Which is a change from the approved drawings and mock-up)

I thought we were both talking about the horizontals

Yes I was talking about the horizontal panels , but the random panel that appeared seemed to match the vertical opaque ones ??

Ah I see. No I don't think it did. Not as I remember it anyway. And the verticals came a fair bit later so the two wouldn't have been seen side by side.

I'll look through the thread later in case I can find it again.
 
Yes, the definition of "close proximity" is key to whether City can count rental income from the Arena (assuming I'm right in assuming that there is some). CFG and OVG are the operators of the Arena so the club itself doesn't receive any of the operating income.

IIRC, there are developments in Europe where other sports and entertainment venues are in the vicinity of stadiums and count for FFP purposes, with the distances involved there suggesting that the Arena should count here. However, I can't be sure about that so would need to check. Unfortunately, the point isn't clear from a quick Google so requires more research.

Sorry , the colour appeared the same is what I meant , certainly not light grey

Found the old photos, a couple by Failsworth and a couple by Jrb.

Certainly looks darker than on the mockup. But not quite as dark as the verticals/frames. It is also on the dark side of the building.

(I know people will probably judge this whole side chat btw, or be dismissive. But i do think it is a significant biggie, and the devil really sometimes is in the detail).
