There will be another delay in construction when Richard Masters jumps from the top of the scaffolding (diving) boards
the one they attempted to put the cap onI take it that’s the east tower
West then !the one they attempted to put the cap on
I assume the 16 or so cardboard boxes on the hotel eastern roof contain air conditioning kit ??Got pulleys on one side to be able to tilt it.
Just checked and they had them yesterday as well.
Don’t know what they were doing today though.
That was my thought.I assume the 16 or so cardboard boxes on the hotel eastern roof contain air conditioning kit ??

Confused ! , you say there are only SVPs through the roof so how do heat source pumps distribute warm air through the building ? In many years staying in various brands of hotels across the country, I can honestly say that I’ve never encountered an “in room”A/c unitI think they are heat pumps (air source). Right size and shape.
There have been no ducts taken through the roof (SVPs aside), so I would doubt they are for the ventilation. Which now has the vents through the facade and those perforated panels we mentioned before, presumably for individual AC units within each room, which is common.

You will have, I would be surprised if you didn't. Surely you have adjusted temperature or switched off the AC, even to avoid the sound, etc?Confused ! , you say there are only SVPs through the roof so how do heat source pumps distribute warm air through the building ? Always assumed that was multi room ducted a/c not in room , obviously adjusted/ switched off but never realised it was in the ceiling void ! What about the heat pumps ??You will have, I would be surprised if you didn't. Surely you have adjusted temperature or switched off the AC, even to avoid the sound, etc?
Edit, here is a Radisson Blu room, off TripAdvisor.
The grill you see in the step in ceiling height, the AC unit is behind it. The panel you see close to the door, is the access to service it. That way they can replace or repair each room individually so they dont have to shut/ write off a whole stack of rooms if the aircon breaks.

They Can be ducted, with controls. But something of this scale, this many floors, this size of floorplate, it wouldn't be that efficient through the length of ducts that would be needed. Also means if the aircon unit breaks, instead of one room of angry customers that you can move, you end up with say 10 or more rooms to deal with, if served by one unit. Besides I've just looked at the floor plans and the risers between the rooms don't look big enough for vertical ducts, not for this many storeys.Always assumed that was multi room ducted a/c not in room , obviously adjusted/ switched off but never realised it was in the ceiling void !
