North Stand Construction Discussion

Desperately need the urge for vids. Went on every item from prem charges to everything else and it was a bore fest. Only thing that I did find out today is it’s definitely a BARM.

When will the investment in the expansion/hotel/fanzone be paid for? How much EXTRA income per year will this bring to the club? Anyone know?

You could take the match-day revenue from City's Report and Accounts and then pro-rata it over 8/53 and then do similar with the revenue from Hotel Football and pro-rata that over the ratio of rooms. However, if you're thinking about its economics, you should probably ask if it will ever be profitable. I am more interested in the emotions I will feel when I walk to the ground, and enter it and look around and see a full stadium and hear that noise. I shall think back to Maine Rd at 34k, and think of the journey we've taken. Every day a new footstep.

Be honest Marvin. You never went to Maine Road.

I'd expect some sort of Cafe as part of the museum and shop would be open daily, plus there will be something in the hotel open to the public, probably a restaurant and a coffee shop. Wasn't there also supposed to be seating and food outlets by the arena /canal?
The ground floor apparantly will be open to the public, ie food & beverage, a restaurant as well, as for the arena outside area i presume that will be open this summer ?

You seem to have overlooked that great big black box next the hotel. It’s an indoor arena planning to hold around 150 sell out concerts every year. Maybe some concert goers might stay after gigs there rather than run the gauntlet of the Metrolink. Just a thought, doubt City will have spotted that potential. Pro-rata that.
