North Stand Construction Discussion

Yes. There is storage on that floor, for the bedroom furniture and vip rooms to interchange. This was noted in the approval, so it isn't a change really, but the recent new club images show the room used as a vip suite instead of a bedroom.
There's a small storage room in each suite.

I would say the mattress would go into the wall, it would make no sense not to
That would be the obvious conclusion. However, pocket sprung mattresses you get in this standard hotel are very heavy making it impractical and potentially dangerous to fold away plus there doesn't look enough depth in the cavity.

Mattress goes in the storage cupboard, no where near enough room to get the unit and mattress in to the space.

They are visuals after all, wouldn't judge it on that so strictly. The nibs seem deep enough (agree not with the bed as shown necessarily), and it makes much more sense not to have to lug the mattress about, for the sake of having it all fit in.

There are a couple of brands that do this already, the whole bed goes. One even has a couch that folds out up the way as the bed goes away, by the user rather than hotel staff.

You are right, I've just checked the drawing - pretty sure that's a change. 600mm clearance for the bed to fit in.

Pretty sure it's a change to what was available as part of the PA. But they also wouldn't have had a brand on board back then either.

Given that a match nominally on a Saturday at 3pm could be moved to a Friday, a Sunday or even a Monday for tv, how will they know much in advance whether one of these bedrooms can be used as such?

They won't let them out until 100% and the box on match day will bring in over 30 x the income of the hotel room when it isn't, if they lose a potential booking they won't mind.

They do allow you to book for saturdays when we could have home games, they must be some wording in the terms that they can cancel if a match is on.

Okay not seen that, there are no specific terms, but I suppose the 3pm check in isn't great for a lot of games.

They'll probably just move any pre booked rooms elsewhere in the hotel, snd have a caveat that those rooms are not guaranteed and subject to change.

It will probably have a balance spring or some other device so a chambermaid can lift it.
