The build has been beset with delays and issues from the start, starting with underground issues and piling issues, to endless build issues. It's very similar to what happened to the Coop Live Arena build, externally and internally.
I'm not saying Sisk will make a loss on the build as nobody knows the finer details of the build contract, but the longer the build drags on, the more likely that might happen.
From memory, confirmed on Google AI and on the City website, Sisk had a set price build of £300mill. £350mill also comes to mind. Others on here maybe able to confirm the set price build cost?
Google AI.
BAM Construction lost over £40 million on the Co-op Live arena project due to spiraling costs, which rose from £365 million to over £400 million. The firm faced significant losses, reported to be around £20 million in the first half of 2024, driven by project delays, supply chain issues, and technical, building-related setbacks.
