North Stand Construction Discussion

Because the information will be more visible. Many tourists, away fans, day trippers, etc, haven’t got a clue where to look for tram times, tram frequencies, where to go to queue, etc. Regardless of the half-baked tram system, having people tknow when the trams are due, where to go to queue for trams , etc, should make waiting, queuing, boarding trams, etc better and faster. We’ve all been to airports, train stations, bus stations, etc, walking about aimlessly trying to find travel information and departure gates, stops, etc. All of that aside, City should do what they can to try and improve fans exiting the Etihad and catching the trams back to the City centre for 30 minutes after the match. It’s not much to ask for, and it can be done by the club. The alternative is players interviews, ads, etc on the big screens, with people standing around watching them, in what will be a very congested area after the match, making catching a tram back to the city centre even more problematic and stressful..
Get you bros, but it's overkill for screens intended for entertainment. One tram stop is hardly the confusion of a big international airport or a city centre train station. It's not beyond the wit of most folk, especially visitors who planned and succeeded getting to the ground to know how to get back from whence they came.

It would be more helpful to show on the stadium screens where the end of the queue currently is, especially when it’s pitch black. If you can walk you’d be mad to join the back of the queue when it is outside the East Stand!
If everything around the square stays open after the game, people can wait there sheltered and watch whatever is on the screen and see the queue.

Few more, again apologies for pic quality. Looks much better now though with the hoardings coming out.

I’m hyperventilating right now at the clash in seat colour between the new and old faded seats. Takes away from the ‘single tier’ look.
Rationalise it this way…it has to be a different shade so you can tell the new bits that’ve been added !
