Lament for the badge.

Seems like a lifetime ago having pointed out the height of the brick podiums was different at either side of the square, which maybe got lost a bit at the time. It is now it is fully visible.

I walked past last week and didn't take any notice, but now my OCD will kick in and I won't be able to not rant to myself every time I go near FFS
 
I’m taking the plunge and getting a new and upgraded point and shoot camera.

My Sony RX100 still works, but it’s a bit battered, and the lens protector doesn’t open fully or properly at times. Plus it’s dated now, even though it’s still great camera.

I’ve decided to get the Panasonic LUMIX DCTZ-300. It’s a brand new model from Panasonic, which is due out in April. Amongst other things, it’s got a 15X zoom, compared to the 3X zoom on the Sony RX100, and lots of other features that the Sony RX100 hasn’t got.


At £869 it isn’t cheap, but fuck it, you can’t take your money with you, I’ve not treated myself in years, and I’m going to be using the camera for years to come at the Etihad Campus :-) and in town.

The 2 claws are similar but in no way identical. For me the most jarring difference is the size of the screens on the gable ends.

Just to be clear, I'm not 'moaning' about them not being identical. Just pointing it out. The screen size is the most obvious one, but the two sides of the square I think might be felt more in reality.

But of all the differences (and while most of my mentions of this are said as a bit of a running joke) the balcony/terrace junctions on the hotel really annoy me. On the museum not so much. I guess that one, on this occasion, IS a moan. But they are after all done by two different practices.
