North Stand Construction Discussion

Couldn’t hear anything from NS in SS3 so hopefully the noise is not lost a bit due to the size of the crowd.

What is the stand like for anyone who went in?

I went to the test event.

The bar area and overall finish inside is miles better than the south stand third tier - including the area after the turnstiles and the steps up.

Nope. Nothing notably different from usual. I'm not doubting anybody saying it was good but from south stand lower I noticed nothing and neither did anybody else around us. Some even sang a small rendition of "north stand, give us a song" about 3 times and booed every time because we didn't hear anything back.
I sit in the Colin Bell stand, third tier and I commented midway through the first half at how noticeable the noise was from the Pepax. it was equally as noisy as the South Stand

I was in 137 it felt pretty lively, a lot of noise coming from the stand.. Asked a couple of mate after the game who were sat in the bell end how it sounded and they said pretty quiet so not sure what to make of the new end

From SS3, thought it looked mightily impressive. Few round me said they're moving there next season. Love where I sit and the banter but can see the appeal.

Hopefully the right people stand/sit there next season and onwards and becomes a great atmosphere in there

The large concrete wall below the skybar and above the second tier is perfect for a text tribute to Pep.

But instead of 'The Pep Guardiola Stand' written on it, I personally would rather see simply his quote 'This is my place'.
Like that. BUT will folk in 10 years know what it means (or, indeed, other fans & media )

They will, with proper education.

The beauty of it being applicable to any individual in the stand or stadium, or the stand as a whole is there too. A fitting subtle tribute imo
