North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

Shocking if that’s true. So even more corporate areas and behind the goal as well. The idea this is going to help the atmosphere seems like a myth right now.

It’s looking like a stand/ idea for corporates more than anything
Minimum 3000 standing area...if 1894 can't get their act together and get this full of singers the club are not to blame.

Not everyone's moaning, just the usual suspects.
Nobody is moaning. It’s an opinion. It’s a discussion. People are allowed to express their views and opinions on this thread. It’s a forum. That is the purpose of a forum. To discuss. If you want all of us to post everything is brilliant about the new North stand, you will be disappointed, because that isn’t going to happen. Likewise, if you think everything is brilliant about the new North stand, fair enough, you are entitled to your opinion.

No point in them moving from South Stand level 1 really. Not sure what the benefits to the atmosphere would be?

It's a section right at the very back of the stand with the rest of the stand being made up of the family stand, GA+ seats, and some standard seats in the middle.

Don't think people are moaning. Some things are a bit vague, and interpreted differently, and that is a valid discussion.

My own take isn't based on 'defending' the club, it is just how I read that statement, relative to what we know through the approved scheme. I'm sure hello and jrb are the same. We differ because our interpretation differs, not our stance. More than happy to be convinced one way or the other.

To stand behind way back , behind corporates instead of being behind the goal at SS?

after club decided to make this a corporate + kids stand* I'll 1000 % support 1894 or anyone who decides to stay away from the prawn-sandwich stand

*fantastic news to get the 2000 new junior blues on the ST ladder though!

Yep. My view is the entire expansion is mainly being built for corporates. You’ve got more corporate seating, a sky bar, drinking areas and a huge hotel - most of which ordinary fans will never use or have access to.
Is it fuck, the vast majority of the stand is for normal ticket prices.

I wondered why the bottom tier wasn’t going to be safe standing. Would have generated a much better atmosphere imo. Now we know why.
Not really, the upper tier will have safe standing and some GA+ seats, if the lower tier has some GA + seats no reason why it couldn’t also have some safe standing. Though I do think if the standing is expanded it will be in the upper stand. Not sure it makes much difference whether it’s upper or lower though, some say the upper South has a better atmosphere than the lower south.

Filling 3000 safe standing seats with singers has nothing to do with 1894.

If that doesn’t happen, which it won’t happen, because we don’t have 3000 dedicated singers, why are the club not to blame, but 1894 are? Really!?

The club control everything about the North stand expansion. The club has the final say on everything.

I’ve yet to read from the club that they are planning to create a dedicated singing section on NSL2, like they have done on SSL1. The club could have got that ball rolling months ago by taking names of season ticket holders and City fans who want to stand in a dedicated singing section at the back of NSL2, but the club hasn’t done that still. The club haven’t even chosen a block on NSL2 for a dedicated singing section, and the opening of the stand is 6 months away.

Does it matter where 3000 safe standing is ? You're just being picky mate

Surely the higher up in the stand the better the atmosphere will be ie the roof to project the volume

Think the club may have missed a trick in not presenting to the various groups, before issuing a public announcement. Now the confusion is only heightened, whereas some may have offered more to those that find it vague.

Wasn't there a big debate months ago about corporate in the new stand and pretty much everyone said it was a shit idea if they were looking to produce some sort of blue wall. You only have to see the empty corporate seats in the south stand at the beginning of every second half and the lack of atmosphere to what what will happen here. Incredibly short sighted from the club and yet another nail in the coffin for die hard blues. They will lose another chunk of supporters that won't be replaced. We all know football is cyclical and that we don't have the tourist numbers of the red shirts, pity the club doesn't realise. Have a look at some of the old Big Match Classics and see the thousands of young kids on the terraces, something you don't see any longer. Someone at the club must know the average age of a SC holder and I guess it hasn't lowered in the past 20 years. They must also know the number of fans who have given up their cards and I don't mean the ones who have passed away I mean those that have been fucked about by the club over the years. We can't transfer tickets to other SC holders who might want to bring their kids last minute but they are now getting us to buy extra as the agencies can't flog Bournemouth at home on a Sunday. Being taken for mugs by the club executives for too long and it's just about to bite them hard

If 1894 said we are moving in there a lot will follow, the club has offered a MINIMUM of 3000 safe standing, what more can they do ? But no they will curse and moan, do fuck all and blame the club.

Every time the club makes an announcement about the NS it only adds to the confusion of what’s happening to it and to the fans.

2000 junior season tickets available, and it"s not corporate, its basically a bar and food outlets.

I thought City Hall was one huge Hall which held 1000’s of City fans? Stand corrected.

Are these 500 City fans going to have their own bar in City Hall?

The smaller bar which is in the PA, under the stand, with steps directly leading to the front seats?

Is that bar for the GA+ fans sat at the front of the tier?
Is City Hall inside & outside the stadium ? I thought it was 3000 capacity ?
