But if you go by that logic - might have bounced back to him, we'll never know...I think if the shot is going on target, all incidental contact should not be considered...you cannot put Dzeko's shot in the same bucket as someone crossing the ball and it accidentally gets pushed in...which is what is effectively done by calling these "own goals".

What a difference a few days makes, this post match thread on Boxing day was despicable. Well done the guys today main difference was today we had more luck in front of goal.

We gave 4 direct, incisive balls into the box and it resulted in finding players in space who duly slotted!
No tippy, tappy trying to force a miracle ball through 10 defenders.

Have to agree think it woulda hit the other side of the bottom corner and by the logic of it being an og that would mean everytime a keeper got a hand, leg, body to the ball it's an og??
