Not coming in the Top 4 - it's ok!!

Whilst I agree with you, don't let the Southampton debacle become pivotal to the discussion. Plenty of incompetently and unnecessarily dropped points throughout the season.

I agree there have been but I could see and stressed it on here more than once in the past few weeks the vital importance of being 3 points ahead going into United's game in hand tomorrow.

So those at the club had to know what they were chancing.

The psychological difference between it being in our hands and theirs at this late, late stage shifted the title in our favour in the past.

It was unforgivable in my opinion not to remember that and risk the chance of it happening again when that Southampton match was a 'must not lose' game to anyone reading the situation.

And with a chance of salvaging that point to bring on defenders and leave Aguero on the bench was bordering on criminal insanity.

I agree, but the immediate response is but but "he had the biggest match in the clubs history on the Wednesday".

I think that the players have casually rolled up thinking they won't finish out of the top 4. I'm still seething over Wednesday nights "performance" when we went out without even going for it.

Then you get yesterday's performance in the first half especially all of a sudden.

If we finish outside the top 4 then we will deserve everything we get.

Completely agree. However, with such an important fixture, so late in the season top 4 positions are much clearer and defined. It was pretty clear what we needed the last 4 games or so and Pellegrini essentially tossing one of those aside was arrogant and he got it completely wrong.
