What makes it worse is that it will be the rags who take our place.
If you had made a bet that next years Champions league places are Leicster, Spurs, Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool you would be a very rich man.
I guess people will say we get what we deserve for booing the Champions league anthem, the worst things about qualification for Europa League will be Sunday Monday matches and the inability to bring in out top targets.
The aforementioned clubs will have first pic effective and City and Chelsea will be fighting over the scraps.
The only positive I can see is blooding more kids

It's definitely not ok if we miss out. To have 5 Premier League teams in the competition next season and for us not be one of them is a fucking disgrace with the money that has been spent on the club and its infrastructure.
We're lucky that the pull of Pep will attract a couple of names still. Soriano and Begiristain have got a lot to answer for. They got rid of Mancini for far less yet refused to get rid of 'their' caretaker manager when the signs that we would potentially miss out have been there all season

I think you'll find it's not okay...certainly not for the players.
A lot of them took huge pay cuts on their basic, on premise of top four participation.
All that Champions League money we made this season would have to be stockpiled for the shortfall next season.
And if you think attendances have been selectively ropey this season, wait until every game we have is 4pm on a Sunday.

It's not the end of the world. We've already established ourselves in the CL with this season's performance. We'll have Pep and therefore we'll be considered a big team regardless. Spuds and Leicester will be in there but will have their work cut out to stay there and the likes of Barca, Real etc will fear us again when we return. With what we have won domestically and what we have shown this season in Europe we've established ourselves.
Similarly, Chelsea don't really need to worry about a season out of it. Get Pep in, get his signings in, concentrate on the league and use some youngsters in the Europa. Winning the Europa wouldn't be a bad thing, we've not done it before and it might give the players even more confidence in Europe which is crucial. We'll be fine.
Besides, we beat Swansea last day and Villa beat Arsenal and we qualify anyway! That's bound to happen!

Of course we will. In fact, Arsenal are flaky as fuck, Leicester have never been in a title run in before and will implode, Spurs are well Spurs and united are shit with a terrible manager. Plus, we are going to go on a run any day now. Fuck top 4, I reckon we will be lifting the premier League trophy next week.we will still get top4
