If any team could cope missing out on champs league for a season it's us and if there was ever a time when it would effect us the least it's this season. The Pep appeal would negate the disadvantages of not having champions league football to offer. I can't see us not being able to sign a target because of a lack of champions league football for one season. Most of our targets will be sold on the longer term plan here and will be able to see no champions league football for a season is a blip and a one-off. Plus, Chelsea are missing out on it too so there's one direct rival in terms of transfer targets that wouldn't have an advantage over us.

I don't agree for one nanosecond that 5th or 6th would not be a disaster. It would be.

FFP has not gone away and the loss of revenue, combined with making it more difficult to attract top players, and sponsors, would really hurt us.
