shakes his head in disgust..... what a SH!TE post..... are you even a city fan?

I'll go with this, ffs do one.

Hughes I always had a certain doubt about (ex:rag ofc!) but I welcomed him into the club and wanted him to succeed, sadly in his 18 month tenure and the money invested I really don't think he did enough.

Mancini although not first choice had a good record in Italy and was a fantastic player who I used to watch quite alot and will be given the same amount of time as Hughes if not more to show us what he can do and if we have made progress in that time he would be deemed a success.

Slatting him before he's even stepped a foot in the door really is taking the piss.
ill go with this too zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

People going on about prem experience forget Wenger, benitez, the special one and even fergie never started in the prem.
I am buzzing and cannot wait for what lies ahead of us now.

People on here seem to be concerned about big name foreign managers with no prem experience..... the reason being, I presume, one person- Big Phil Scolari. This is an erroneous point of view however, as the thing Big Phil was lacking was european club experience. Managing international teams and club teams in Brazil is a far cry from any club side in Europe. Plus, he wasn't really given any funds, and his big ego clashed with some of the players, who probably did have more of an idea on what should be done in the prem than him...
Look at other Euro managers though, and you'll find a different story, and tbf Mancini for me has a better club football pedigree than Hiddink, who people here seem to cream over.... and hey, why don't you just compare Hughes and Mancini..? Hughes did ok with Wales.... over achieved with Blackburn, but with a direct system of football suited to poor players... won nowt. With city spent over £200m, didn't really achieve anything better than Sven.
Mancini
ACF Fiorentina

* Coppa Italia: 2000–01 Team were nothing before

S.S. Lazio

* Coppa Italia: 2003–04 Team were struggling to justify their big name

F.C. Internazionale Milano

* Serie A: 2005–06; 2006–07; 2007–08
* Coppa Italia: 2004–05; 2005–06 One of the biggest teams in the world, with a billionaire owner, had won NOTHING for over 15 years! He made them into the team in Italy, making Ancellotti look amateur
Get behind him guys, the future is bight, the future is BLUE
Rant over

For me it all boils down to one thing.

The guy wrote the Pink Panther theme and Moon River.

Legend.

Remember Chelski sacked Ranieri and he had a much better record than Hughes - didn't they finish second the year before? Sometimes in business if a better thing comes along you need to take it. Being sentimental maybe natural but is not always the right option when moving forward. Everyone has long forgotten about the Ranieri saga since all the Chelsea success and hopefully we will be remembered for the football we play and games we win soon.

Mancini's record is very impressive, even more so domestically than a Mr Ancellotti who Chelski have gone for. Ancelloti only won seria A once with Milan.

I think we are onto a good thing and with the new winning mentality that hopefully will be installed we should be on to a winner!

Time to move on

On a variety of posts on the Board some say that he does speak English and others that he doesn't.

Can we have a definitive answer on this please.

Iguess you get you answer inthe press conference tommorow. My understanding is he speaks broken english and is having lessons. Ancaloti, Coppelo and Raneri spoke no English when they came over here so whats the problem, he has Brian Kidd anyway until he picks up the lingo....
