Not Keen on Mancini

Mancini inherited a top 2 team and won the first league by default when juve were striped of the title and relegated in the match fixing scandle. the next two season were made a little easier with out juve. (as someone wrote, imagine chelsea's struggle if the rags got relegated)

before then he won the cup with Forentina, who were also one of the most corrupt teams/owners, reported to be involved in match fixing (allegedly)....and he won the cup with them....

hes won trophies, but it looks better on paper than it actually is.

Eh? Mancini inherited an Inter side that finished fourth and TWENTY THREE points behind Milan, despite being a 34 game season. Inter that year finished just three points ahead of his own Lazio side. Even the most basic of fact checks could have told you that. Then in his first year he narrowed the gap with Milan to 5 points.

This trend of undermining the mans achievements to suit agendas is ridiculous. Default or not in his first season, he has an impressive CV for his age by anyones standards.

Sadly mate people just spin to suit their own agendas. The Media, fans, everybody.

Managers know they can be sacked at any time and likewise when a bigger club comes calling most will take the opportunity. They are very well paid and have their contracts paid up. It's hard to feel sorry for them.

Elephant man saying this will put potential young managers off this career are laughable. Most of us would love their pay and working conditions.

Huge Gamble
As a Hughes inner I am gutted and would have still been gutted if Hiddink had been appointed - but probably , knowing my passion for City, I'd now be beginning to come to terms with Hiddink's appointment - proven, respected, intelligent manager, with prem league knowledge, but this appointing of a mate, seems more in hope than in reason. I have a terrible feeling we have just appointed our Christian Gross - good on the continent but perhaps wrong for this league.

Had a sleep on it before jumping on here!

15 managers in 20 years and just as we are making progress CITY do it again! - Hughes was a transition manager - 'evolution not revolution' is what Owners said.

I predict we will now finish mid table, no CC final and a new manager will be brought in next summer when Mancini has finished counting his money...He was a great player but better than Hughes as Manager?

1. Mancini does not even speak english - if so good why no work for 12 months?
2. Players will be spit, Bellers, RSC and others will want away - dressing room will. be fun!
3. Mancini won fuck all outside Italy (corrupt weak league anyway so means nothing)
4. He knows fuck all about football in prem league and english footy.
5. All the backroom and suport staff changes, no stability.

I am not a Hughes fan and said he had a full season with his players, 2 defeats, 1 point off top 6 with game in hand, semi final I was happy as could see progress on last year - Total Fucking Madness and other supporters taking piss big time and who can blame them....

If we lose next 3 games will we change manager again?

To be honest I think the club and team is being run by Cook and others - does not really matter who is manager now as they have no real power over things....

STOKE - WOLVES - BLACKBURN - EVERTON - If we are not in top 4-6 after these games will Man

EDIT : Changed attention whore title
I can't defend Mancini because I don't know too much about him, but Hughes and his team was really wobbling. mancini was the only alternative. Give him a chance. he has won trophies, and that's never easy whatever the cirucumstances of the first Serie A win

All he has to do is sort out the defence, and be a tactician if he is we will win if not can see him keeping the seat warm for Guus or Jose.

1. Mancini does speak English. He was in dispute with Inter until the end of October regarding the settlement of his outstanding contract and as such wasn't able to take up another job until that was out of the way.

2. If any players don't want to play for the club the answer is the same as always - "don't slam the door on your way out"

3. Mourinho hadn't managed outside Portugal when he arrived at Chelsea.

4. How do you know that? He's played briefly in England and the Prem is so popular world wide are you seriously suggesting he never watches it?

5. Happens whenever you change managers.

brian kidd as assistant manager might be the key to whether we are successful or not.

So Hughes gets 18 months and £240m, Mancini is isn't liked b4 he's actually arrived.

Hughes wasn't liked before he arrived, make no mistake about that. But he won a lot over. How long will Mancini get? If he doesn't improve on 6th what will happen? If we don't get to the CC final what?

And broken English? Give me strengh. That's going to go down well isn't it? Someone speaking pidgeon English isn't going to motivate me in any way shape or form.

The king is dead. What's done is done. All we can do is (fucking yet again) get behind yet another manager.

You are comparing apples and pears he has won titles in the Italian league and not the premiership he has won nothing in the premiership

Messi has never won the Premiership either. Shit, he is.

Hahaha, well said mate.

With Hughes - like him or not - at least we were more than likely going to be in Europe next season.
This happening now - an un-tried in prem football manager, players who clearly respected Hughes (the players who at least tried game in game out - that is)now very unhappy, language difficulties, fan apathy to Mancini, press condemnation of the Hughes sacking, new scrutiny of the owners understanding of football and their aims, - Will the insecurity throughout the club and criticism from outside have a an adverse effect on our play and position in the league?
Never want to hear the words stability form Swiss Cookie again.
