I went to my first game in 1961 and have seen some shit over that time.

If we are GENUINELY found guilty we will have to suck it up and look to the future, even if it is from the Championship.

Best we can hope for this season is top four, which most clubs can only dream about.

For now, a result against Forest is vital......They are a decent side.

Whether it’s the success of previous seasons or the acceptance that this is just not our year.

Whether it’s the mental exhaustion of the 115 and if that goes this season, I’d be happy with that.

If we get a 20 point deduction and we’re 15 points of the top, in a weird way I would find it quite funny it’s not cost us a title (other issues I know).

Maybe I just believe the team needs a refresh and this is inevitable.

Whatever it is, I’m annoyingly ok with it.

It was absolutely expected and I am nowhere near as bothered as years gone by. It still hurts though, Prior to the season starting I always said 5 in a row cannot happen, that is without any logic, just it would be mental to achieve it. To be in a top 4 hunt though is criminal. We could be 8th by Thursday night. United are 4 points behind with a BETTER goal difference. I can handle not being the best for a year, but to fall off a cliff is unforgivable.
 
I agree with the OP, we’ve just won 4 titles on the bounce and proved ourselves to be the greatest English club side ever so it doesn’t feel anything like as bad as it usually would to know that this year we won’t win the league.

There’s nothing any fan or any media numpty can say to or about us that means a thing cos we know we’re the best ever.
 
When city were not competing for titles I had little interest in who won the PL.

Now that we have been majorly competing and winning a few PL titles it really irks me that a team I hate (due to 115 charges that is most teams) may win it this year.


For that reason I hope we can pull off what seems like a miracle required and stop a cartel team or cartel supporting team from winning the PL. The club not winning the league is not what will bother me but it may if it is a twattish club/fans.
 
I’m easy with it now but deep down I know I’ll feel different in May . I can only hope that we can get round this corner and at least go on and make a fight of it for every minute we’re on the pitch starting against Forrest.
Always want us to lift the FA cup probably more this year more than ever if anything just to let the red media know we’re not finished.
 
In some bizarre fashion I’m revelling in this spell.

Don’t get me wrong, the results are awful. But the build up and suspense towards a game has gripped me again.

I’m no longer going into a game expecting us to win and anything else is just a disappointment. I look forward to the matches and seeing them all as an opportunity to turn the fortunes around l.
 
I am very "arsed" even though no team has a right to win and all cycles end I want to see us fight to the last. Won't ruin my week but it matters and as others have said it reignites the passion when your suddenly back up against it. Its a long way from the dark days (There was a few flashbacks to Bournemouth 3-3 when the Feyenoord game fell apart) and we may not see 4 in a row ever again but am going to enjoy watching us try whoever is in charge and whatever happens with the 115.

Due to past achievements, everyone is due a break from the usual emotional insults. City is our club and when it’s going through a hard time we stick together.

Hope we kick start something tho against Forest.

As a fanbase we have had a lot of pressure on us from constantly competing at the top and winning and also dealing with the charges. We all need a break and this season due to performances we will get that chance to reset.

That’s not to say we now accept shit. A realistic off season was inevitable. It has to stop at some point tho, hopefully that’s against Forest.

How the fuck did anyone expect us to win five in a row ? The amount of stress the team have been through these past 5/6 years is amazing and they have hit a wall . If rodders was here it might have been better but who knows

Only pep and the players can sort something out now, i am not going to stress myself out , the only thing that is winding me up is posters turning on pep and the team
