Being a victim doesn’t guarantee that you’re correct on any subject. The families of the victims don’t.

Me too!Let’s hope you don’t have to make such choice;)
Bert post of the week :-)The word Sir should be banned when referring to the hard shoulder shitter.
i seriously doubt whether GDM or anyone else would ever get such a choice.Let’s hope you don’t have to make such choice;)
Anyway, whatever the merits or otherwise of the death penalty the main point of this thread should be the three lives that were stolen by fate.
RIP.
I think much of that is fair comment, but the warrant being executed wouldn’t alter this outcome. Maybe the identity of the victims, but the same outcome. He had a warrant out for his arrest for 9 months before he murdered 3 people. Im not sure thats fate as such though i know what you mean. I think its mostly incompetence by the police (again) and the authorities
For Genuine mental health issues it absolutely is an excuse. He had paranoid schizophrenia, had been hospitalised 4 times previously because of it and had tried to hand himself over to M15 because he believed some secret services were controlling him.
A life in a secure metal hospital seems fitting in this case.
for me the bigger question is why wasn't he under far closer observation already as he clearly had a serious mental illness.
These people need walking into a nice flower garden away from public view. Sat down and offered some nice tea laced with arsenic or something. That’s more humane. What I want to know is this. Out of all the terrorist attacks that involve a plan, a van, and a load of knives. Are all these guys on the same medication for the same style attacks.I’m sure you know it was tongue in cheek but I wouldn’t be against capital punishment for the most heinous of crimes, child sex attackers and murderers, terrorists and treason, possibly the murder of vulnerable people, etc.
The only medication is radicalisation and brainwashing, sad in this day they can’t think for themselves, a lot of people in prison should be in mental institutions. These people need walking into a nice flower garden away from public view.
