I’m honestly shocked, how can we play that well so many times and draw, we had a draw before we’d touched the ball but cmon we fucking smashed them and only got what we had before we’d kicked a ball, incredible
I think Phil’s brainfart at the start of the second half set the tone.No excuse for that second half,we should have been out of sight and when our legs were tired and Forest got momentum,Pep should have made changes.
From an amazing first half of wonderful footy to a really naive and poor second.
what about haaland trying to take net off when tapping it in would doFoden played all game like it was his first game in forever - tried to do too much, was buzzing about the place -but when we needed composure and he simply squares the ball to haaland (who was right place right time) early - we're 2-0 and it's game over - but he fucked it. And it's coz of the above. I don't know whether to blame foden or pep - but probably both.
I’ve seen dozens of city games go this way. I did say that we needed that 2 because of a possible fluke. I thought our final ball was off despite doing everything else right. We’ve played really well apart from this. Forest we’re terrible but it happens. I joked to my city mate that we’ll probably get a draw after that brilliant win midweek. Unbelievable. Not good enough, does the team really want it?
Given our coaching staff, our awful decision making, set pieces and finishing, its no wonder we seem to be training his strengths out of himRemember Haaland earlier in the season scoring a hat-trick goal, using brute strength to hold off a defender after Gundogan played it to him, before slamming it in the corner? Then you look at him today where he’s got an even clearer goal scoring opportunity than the one I’m talking about against Palace, and instead of using a bit of strength he blatantly cheats trying to get a red card and penalty, when he could just end the game. I don’t understand it. He’s cost us today, and that’s before we get to his miss.
Haaland looks like he has lost a yard of pace and doesn't dominate defenders any more.Remember Haaland earlier in the season scoring a hat-trick goal, using brute strength to hold off a defender after Gundogan played it to him, before slamming it in the corner?
