Nottingham Forest (A) | Post Match Thread

Forest are defying gravity in their league position. I think they’re the poorest side in the prem. Piss off back to the championship and take that pathetic shirt with its two stars with you.
1. They're nowhere near the worst team. They had a dreadful start to the season, but they've got their act together now. Saints, Everton, L***s; all poorer sides.
2. I'd love to see even one of those stars on a City shirt.

I don’t get all this slagging off of KDB, Gundo and Foden.
We had 23 attempts and scored one. Those who missed the sitters are more to blame if we need heads on plates.
No problem with Gundo, neat and tidy but Phil and KDB were guilty of consistent bad decisions. Not just one or two but virtually every time they played the final pass.

Those are the game I fear most this season ? We are just so sloppy and wait for somebody else to do something,
it's like we have KDB Haaland Foden Grealish they will win it for us at some point in the game,

we don't punish teams and kill them off, then it's always the same, we let them score and its too late
when the games too easy we start pissing about

Rodri is still an overrated donkey
Says our cockney visitor.
well it’s a different feeling walking away from the ground today than Wednesdays. Performance was probably better overall today, which is the bizarre thing. But, missed chances! Embarrassing decision making from phil at the start of the half. Haaland has to score. Laporte should of also with the header. Really feels like it just isn’t going to be our season this season.
Safe home blue

Once they made their subs to push for the goal, Pep should have immediately moved to put Ake on. Take off KDB and move Bernardo to Kevin’s role.

There isn’t a finger to point at todays result though. You could go down the starting XI and list a almost half the roster that had horrid moments. Laporte, Rodri, Haaland, Foden, and KDB all had opportunities to put this game away.
I think Ake comes on 5 mins before that goal, if doesn't happen.

Nah I really enjoy travelling up and down the country to watch whatever today was supposed to be and him being outcoached by Steve Cooper ffs. Really top day and handed all the momentum to the arse and the rags.
Our coached? If players took chances it could easily have been 5

Ederson's decision making is fucking atrocious, by the way. How many goals do we concede like that where he doesn't get anywhere near the ball, but leaves himself in no mans land and gives the striker a tap in? Stay on your line and give us a fucking chance.

Nobody can doubt his importance to the way we build from the back, but in all other areas of the game he's simply not good enough for a team that wants to win the biggest prizes, and the kicker is, he's getting worse with every passing season.

Bring Ortega in for a few games. Time to show Eddy he isn't irreplaceable.
Been saying this for a while
Ederson is wildly overrated as a shot stopper and I think Ortega’s distribution is perfectly adequate

He has actually regressed in all departments. I'm not sure his ability on the ball is that important anymore as teams have it sussed. It's got to the stage where I don't trust him to save anything, I'm a nervous wreck whenever the ball comes near our box or someone has a shot. I think it's a position we need to be looking at along with the eternal elusive left back.

I thought the formation was spot on today as we knew we would have all the ball
But at 70 mins when they started to bring attacking players pep should have immediately brought ake on
Don't get me wrong the finishing was awful today and even at 2-0 the game would have been over.
But he should have reacted quicker to there subs
Even pep should know we always concede from one chance

It wasn't Ederson’s fault today but conceding from the first shot on target happens far to often for it to be bad luck…. Very frustrating and maybe that change is worth a try…..
He never saves anything anymore

Very frustrating :-( I’m sure I’m not alone when I could feel a leveller coming. Only ourselves too blame I’m afraid. But 4 points this week from 2 away games isn’t too bad, I’d have taken that before the arsenal game, but still a little bit of a downer conceding that chance today and us wasting 84 chances. Typical city hey :-)
On reflection you are correct but tired of not being able to defend irrespective of our chances.

A totally dominant display, but too many missed chances and Foden not squaring to Haaland for a tap in was the worst of the lot. Pep has to shoulder the blame for the equaliser, without a shadow of a doubt he should have sured up the defence last 10 minutes when Forest started to push on. If Ake would have been introduced at left back that equaliser doesn’t happen cos Bernardo sold himself which lead to the goal. We go again ‍♂️
