To understand this you must see and be aware of how the Premiership is sold overseas - particularly
in Asia. I have worked in both Thailand & Brazil and seen it first hand.
The EPL is 4 clubs - period. All of the marketing, hype and spin revolves around these same 4 clubs.
Nobody, but nobody in Asia is remotely interested in watching any game that does not involve any of the 'Big 4'.
For anyone to come along and change, disrupt or intrude on this very large and powerful cash machine is
anathema to them and must be stopped, if possible, at all costs.
City is the only club who has the financial clout to sustain a challenge over a period of time and wreck all of this.
Hence the reason there is not same media hysteria over Villa, Spurs or anyone else progressing into 4th place his season - they
are unable to sustain it over the next 3 - 5 years or so - so the cost status quo will remain.
However, I can assure you if and when we do break in - and we will, they will come round and the conspiracy will go away
just as quickly as it started. In the EPL money is all, it is God, it the sole reason for their existence and money is the one
single thing that we are not short of! The media is extremely powerful. However it can be controlled and harnessed to our

To be fair mate, I too was told of this "inside information".

The 'cabal' you refer to are people whom I am aware of, and I'm sure are all in contact with one another whenever the situation arises. But I wouldn't consider myself to be one of the cabal simply because of information that has been relayed to me.

Howver the difference between me and the , ahem, cabal... is that I simply can't buy into the Mourinho is Lined Up theory.

I've explained why previously, and I still stand by that view.

But I may be wrong.. and the 'cabal' may be proved right.

We will only know after time.. the end of the season... then all will be revealed one way or another. So just hold on to your hat sunshine and let's see where the ride takes us.

I've heard the stuff about Jose, too. For what it's worth, I don't have any doubt that our owners would love to have Mourinho at the club, that they've had dialogue with him on and off over a long period of time, and that he's made positive noises about coming to City when the time's right - possibly the end of the current season.

However, no one can say for sure that Jose will be at our club next season. Firstly, there's the question of how genuinely interested he is: does he want us as a fallback option in case other possible, and preferred, avenues for him fail to materialise? And secondly, there's the fact that, even if he's desperate, just at the moment, to come here, he could always change his mind, as people do in life all the time.

It'll all come out in the wash, as my old gran used to say.
