I think we consistently overspend on players. Outside of the odd bargain like Jesus and Gundog, we spend elite fees on good players and good fees on average players.

Very easy to swap Grealish out for Aguero. Grealish costs us around £30-35m a year in wages + amortization. Agueros wages alone used to cost us around £20m a year. So “breaking” a transfer record in Grealish has hardly changed anything for us
