Oasis reunion

Liam G's silly tweet has got Man City China's highest complaint levels. The ill-advised "because we need each other" post on Weibo was seen as backing for Liam and his racist slur post. Oasis won't be playing China any time soon.

Tried explaining to a few Chinese mates that Liam is not the shiniest apple on the cart and that he was likely not thinking. The level of abuse and accusations of racism-sympathiser was astounding. You can't defuse something when emotions are high. Really took the shine off the excitement of a great comeback.
Bollocks did it spoil anything. Not one person in there last night would’ve given it a second thought.

Like I said the pictures I've seen wasn't everyone using their phones and not getting involved . It looked very good from a crowd perspective. But as neither of us were there let's see what those that were have got to say.
So far from what I've read and heard everyone seems to have had a great night.
Not for a second do I doubt everybody in attendance had a mega time. As I said, the performance was by all accounts brilliant and therefore nobody leaves even slightly unhappy. I just dont think it looked anywhere near like a crowd where people will be talking about the atmosphere that night in 20-30 years.

I suspect theyll be two main opinions from their shows. First one will be those that have seen them live before who will appreciate the greag performance, appreciate the occasion in seeing a band perhaps for the last time after thinking they might never get another chance but will also know the crowd didnt match the level of performance. And then the second view from the younger bunch who haven't seen them live before who see everybody having their cameras out throughout as being the norm and know no different who probably thought it was the best thing ever.

I'll go back to a football example, if somebody is attending their first ever game live and they are in the Colin bell to see us beat Salford 8-0 they'll probably come away having loved it thinking it was the best thing ever, but those of us who are in the south stand on derby day will have enjoyed it too but will know the atmosphere wasnt a patch on what it could be like.

Wonderwall has been played to death and just hear wherever you go, never felt it was that great, other acoustic numbers are better from Oasis.

Never liked Champagne Supernova, drags on for to long.
I agree about wonderwall

Champagne supernova reminds me of the first city game I went to agianst Ipswich with my late brother when I was 7. It was playing during half time, I caught the bug for City and for oasis.

Saw them at Maine Road in 1996, and then again about 10 years later at The Etihad.
The sheer buzz around the Maine Road gigs was phenomenal and they didn't let us down.
Hopefully some who get to see them for the first time with these gigs can have at least just half of that experience, and more. If so, they are winners.

Never done Heaton Park for a gig I’m assuming the metro link is going to be chaos any tips on how the hell to get home anywhere towards Oldham?

I thought Noel was a big Chameleons fan
He could have had them supporting instead of the rag Ashcroft and the scousers Cast

Fair on Wonderwall (I like it as my girlies sing along to it).

But Supernova* - I'm certainly raising an eyebrow at you on this one BH........ :-)

* My littlest one likes this one too
