Offical Election thread

Just shows how a parties policies means nothing at the end of the day.

If Clegg is happy to get into bed with a right wing government then fuck him. He's obviously full of shit and in this for himself and not the party or the people.

Lol, Lol and er, Lol

Lukewarm response so far from the Lib Dems to say the least. An 'all-party committee of inquiry' on political reform? Just another sop to fob them off, just like Blair did to them with the Jenkins commission.

Probably your most sensible ever post.

Stick to laughing at others, you might one day be viewed by fellow humans as something more than a steaming pile of shit on one's shoe.

Good response, it just tickles me when left wingers like yourself are so blind to see what the Cancer(Labour) has done to this country for the last 13 years, and here we are getting something that could produce genuine change, a right wing party and a left wing party coming together could work if everything is done properly. As daft as it sounds, the two could actually bounce off each other.

I'm all for checks and balances. Can't see it though.

It just shows that the actual 'politics' are irrelevant when it comes to the crunch.

A true left winger or right winger would never sleep with the enemy.

Fuck the Lib Dems. Useless tossers and fuck Cameron, the fucking Etonian wankstain.

I just won't bow down to a big posh sod, probably my problem.

Now, get back to licking the man's shoes, quicker boy, quicker.

Fuck me!
Guido is giving them ideas!!

Now is an historic opportunity to reform politics for the better, to open up politics and government, to roll back an authoritarian state. If the Tory right is too small minded to allow Cameron to do a deal with Clegg then they are as stupid as they are short-sighted. This is an historic opportunity to realign politics along a liberal-conservative axis. It is the chance to destroy the Labour Party as a party of government forever. If the price is real reform of the electoral system then that is a price well worth paying to free us from the economic destruction wrought time and time again, decade after decade, by a statist, big government Labour Party. Fraser Nelson, the editor of the Spectator, says he will fight Cameron.

Don’t do it my friend, at least see what deal is on the table, this is the chance to achieve Margaret Thatcher’s ultimate ambition of two competing non-socialist parties of government.

You had a go at me for a petty post and you put that, lol. Look, I've never liked the Lib Dems, but the fact of the matter is this country needs change, balance and order. It may only be a short term thing, but if this works, then it will be a step in the right direction. I agree with the 'sleeping with the enemy' bit, but if I had a choice between Lab and Lib Dem, it'd have to be the latter.

-- Fri May 07, 2010 3:42 pm --
