I'm working class & I feel the Conservatives will do far more for me than this Labour government ever have.

Sorry mate, but it sounds like you've been fed a line by your parents & you've fallen for it.

Right, got to go... Ashes to Ashes is coming on. Ah, the 80's... great days ;-)
Well we will see. A Tory government has never worked.
You just have to look at their mps to get a glimpse of how bad their party actually is.
really?
the deluded insights of an AS level politics student hanging on to every word spoken from his recently graduated teacher
wait until you are paying enough tax to keep three families in comfort as well as your own

In that case I think it's highly disingenuous of you to call every one who has voted Conservative (or any other way ) an idiot when frankly you've experienced nothing of life. All you've heard is what's passed down from your parents (brainwashed by the sounds of things). See if you feel any different when you have to work your bollox off for years struggling to provide for yourself & your family, then you see the Government take money off you & give it to people who contribute nothing to society.
Ok I don't think anyone will disagree that their are people getting money who shouldn't. But at the same time you can't exactly have children on the streets begging. Whereas the Tories would.

And you really beleive that?

You can go on about taxes until the cows come home but it won't get you anyway.

Cheesy, you criticized the government for not supplying the army well enough. Yet the only way to supply you would be by raising taxes.
Yet you would then criticize the government for raising taxes.
If i I was filthy rich like the Tories, I wouldn't mind paying that much taxes if it meant less fortunate people would benefit from it.

These cliches aren't getting you anywhere.

I'm curious, where do you live?

I believe that the Tories are better, long term, with the economy. Always have been.

I also believe that if the Lib Dems can have some say in other matters then this can work.

Whoever got in would be facing an uphill battle economy wise. It has to be austere times and I am happy with the thought that two parties may have to pull together.
Whether they can agree remains to be seen.
I'm a staunch Unionist but I am not an idiot.

I nearly spat my tea out when I read this on the BBC web site. Out of all the stories today. This is just so wrong on many levels.

If you think David Cameron is frustrated at finding himself without a majority, spare a thought for poor Great Yarmouth council candidate Bob Peck. Tied on 1,034 votes with Labour opponent Charlie Marsden, he was offered a pack of cards by the returning officer and told the candidate who drew the highest number would win. Mr Peck picked a three while his rival drew a lucky seven to claim the seat. Barmy? Maybe, but it's all within the rules

whether a party is deemed to have been a success in office is mostly down to the state of the world economy.
