not one comment from any of them, this can't be coincidence however i can't decide personally the merits of their silence.

have they been "told" to stay quiet because it is at such a precarious position?

I personally think that none of the people on here are itk.( I hope I'm wrong though) it's just the reason that it has benn looking so likely that these players will come, that they are willing to put there head on the line, even though they know jackshit. Just my opinion

I know im bias but why would anyone choose Inter over us at the moment. A player here could build the team and be a hero for playing a part in the clubs first period of sustained success.

lol. Looks like there are just a few of us who are decidely chilled about this. It is blatently a land grab on either party for that signing on bonus. Eto'o and his agent cannot say anything to infer that it's his choice to leave. The press conference tomorrow will highlight that. And it actually leaves us in a pretty good position to stay on the outside here because something has to give and the more time that passes the further the relationship between Barca and Eto'o sours.

I'm chilled, sitting in my garden with the laptop and wimbledon on through the window. I might even have a beer in abit.

So you think either Barca or Eto or both are squabbling about whether the loyalty bonus gets paid at all or whether City might
be prepared to pay it on the player's behalf? I don't understand why this has suddenly cropped up at the last minute. It must have been discussed at the very get go, shirley, because it is such a significant point.

BTW, I think we should consider paying it because of the statement a transfer of this magnitude would make. That said, five minutes ago I thought we should walk away and tell them all to stop taking the piss. I am conflicted.

Eh? It happens all the time.

I dont seem to recall any player rejecting a team when the transfer fee has been agreed. Thing is though what im getting at, Kaka rejected us because of some protestors and now seeming like Eto'o is going to reject us because he wants revenge on Barca.

how do you no the fee has been agreed? its all just speculation at the moment, your choosing to believe only certain things, city haven't said anything on eto'o yet, until they do good or bad we'll all just have to wait and see, my advice enjoy it all, a spud mate summed it up earlier, . . . . least were linked with these guys, its more fun bein a city fan in this window than any other fan, remember that.

True although it's all rather pointless unless we actually start to sign these players.
I'm not saying we will or we won't get Eto'o ,as like everyone else on here ( regardless of what they say) i don't know a thing but it does start getting a little embarrassing if we keep getting rejected by the top players even when we're willing to pay more than other clubs.
Saying all that, getting the likes of Tevez & Lescott would still give me a buzz.

Do you all not think this is one last chance of Etoo and his agent getting money from Barca.

The timing of the agents press conference tomorrow is surely just to force Barca into a decision before City make an announcement on 1st.

If barca dont budge on loyalty payment then they lose £25mil because he will walk at the end of the season for zilch.

I disagree.... no-one will pay what we are offering this summer.... Any of the Milan clubs got players on £200,000 a week ??? or anyone around the world for that matter ???? plus he'll be a year older.... and not fit....
