You know for me, anyone with half a brain can tell who is giving genuine info and those that are just wuming.

Read it, decide whether you want to believe or not and move on from there.

What i cant take is all the abuse thats given out.

It has become a game on here for quite a few and it is beginning to make the few that are genuine, think about whether its worth all the hassle which for me is a shame and detracts greatly from what afterall, this board is all about.

Keep posting guy's, you know who you are, a lot of us enjoy your posts!

hell yeah booooooyyyyyyyyyeee

Well......I almost enjoy them all, others just make my head hurt :)

Man City now hot favourites to sign Eto’o!
June - 26 - 2009

Man City and Inter Milan have been strongly linked with the Barcelona striker Eto’o, especially as his club have made no secret of the fact that they want to sign David Villa from Valencia, but where is he likely to go?

An article in the Times this morning said: Manchester City moved a step closer to signing Samuel Eto’o as Barcelona began to prepare for life without the Cameroon striker by making a £38.5 million bid for David Villa, of Valencia.

Barcelona need to sell Eto’o to help to fund the move for Villa, who has confirmed that he will remain in Spain next season, with City ready to blow Inter Milan out of the water to secure the three-times African Footballer of the Year’s signature.

If Barcelona manage to conclude a deal for Villa relatively swiftly, Eto’o could be on board in time for the start of City’s pre-season tour to South Africa in the middle of next month.

City are prepared to make Eto’o the highest-paid player in the Barclays Premier League and meet Barcelona’s asking fee of about £25 million.

But for a realistic assessment of his probable destination it is usually worth looking at the bookies odds, as they don’t make the prices up unless they have a good idea of the outcome. I have just checked Skybet, and Eto’o is a very short-priced 8/15 on moving to the Eastlands this summer, while their supposed rivals for his signature, Inter Milan, are a long 12/1. Even Man Utd are shorter odds than that at just 9/1.

Do the bookies know something we don’t?

I doubt it mate, its just betting patterns a few blues and perhaps 1/2 real itk's have slapped some bread on it. The bookies would just pull it if they knew where he was offskies too.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

2235 BST: European champions Barcelona have made a £12.7m offer for 20-year-old Palmeiras striker Keirrison, according to the Sao Paulo club's website.

Could this have any effect on our pursuit of Eto'o?

I know he's young and unproven but he's allegedly the next big thing t come from South America.

why dont city sign him then

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Just looked on Palmeiras website and they have made the bid and Keirrison will not play on sunday for Palmeiras so take it that he is off for talks with Barca and can only see this as 1 of the replacements for Eto'o because they only have Bojan, Messi and Henry.
