If these signings come off, I can't see how City will be stopped. Not in the long run. What a band wagon it would start. The world will be our oyster.

Will us traditional City fans be able to take sustained success?

Would we get bored?

.

I think most of us could live with the pain of it.

I have no doubt, I am more thinking along the lines of if it would feel like there is something a miss.

I personally am not looking forward to picking up "sing when we're winning" fans. I don't want to have those fans that live a million miles away and claim to be fans but really know fuck all about the club. We have laughed at the rags for years about it, won't it be a bit hypocritical when we get those fans?

When I tell people that I support City, I don't wan't to be labled a glory hunter and the cliche of saying I was there when we were shit.

I have saved all my season ticket books and cards over the years for these times in the hope that one day i might actually be called a glory hunter. I never thought in my wildest dreams it could happen on such a grand scale, thank you ADUG

No, scum could not afford him. Have you not all been reading the papers, there is a credit crunch! And it is beginning to bite with some clubs. Liverpool and scum cannot afford £200,000 per week for anyone. Scum have released their most sale-able asset, do you really think for football reasons? This is a new world order where the one's with the money are City. The others have reputations and glory but not a pot to piss in compared to us. Eto's supposed wages are approximately £10 million a year. Before they sold tranny scum's transfer budget was reported at £20 mill, they can't afford him.
read the papers or not ,,utd could afford his wages if they wanted too.

?????? well scum fans do not think so - the club do not thnk so - no one else thinks so - so why do you????
funny that, just been having beers with 2 reds ,1 blue and a not interested, both reds were adamant that if they ware interested debt or not they could afford him .thats what made me sort of ask the question. And when did the club say they couldnt afford his wages.

They baulked at Tevez's demands for salary - they would have to increase by 70% over their current top earner - ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE!! - JUST NOT EVEN A POSSIBILITY

Moyes and Hughes there would be no contest, Moyes every day of the week.

Whats your pproblem?
My ppproblem is you having an underhand pop at Hughes.

I'm not having an underhand pop at Hughes I'm openly criticising his abilities. I am saying Moyes is a better manager and a more pleasant person. Hughes will have to finish it the top 5 to keep his job and if he doesn't he deserves to lose it. Last season he won one game by changing his tatics, every other effort failed. That is a poor manager.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

The reason why United wouldn't be able to offer Eto'o as much as we would is because of their strict wage structure. That's why their highest earner can only get £120k per week, ie Rooney, Ronaldo(when he was there.)

EDIT: Moyes a PLEASANT person, you must be taking the piss?
