I think most rational people realise it'll just be posturing by the agent about the indignation that Barca have shown Eto'o, blah blah. It's just staring contest between them at the moment.

tbh what is coming clear to me is that barca wanted to keep eto'o when they thought villa was going to madrid..however now they think they can get villa so they want to get rid of eto'o as villa is younger and imo better.

Reminds me of the Tevez/Berbatov saga.

the way i look at it is barcelona should just pay him his money he is owed or he leaves in 12 mnths for nothing, we pay them 25 mill they pay him 13 mill of that still leaves them with 12 mill profit rather then getting nothing after 12 mnths and a unhappy player who can/will cause disruption with the team if left to rot on the bench

+ the wages Barca would save, I would guess he's on approx 100,000 a week with them so they'd save another 5 million.
Hopefully this is the game his agent is playing.

I think by offering him a two year contract extension La Porta has shafted Eto'os agent and his angling for the £13 million pay off.
By doing that Barca can show they want to keep him. He wants to take this big money deal but wants to milk Barca as well.
I think he is now over a barrell, go to City and he misses out on any extra money his agent is trying to get. Stay at Barca and he misses out on our mega bucks deal.
it will be interesting to see how this one plays out

He sounds like he doesnt know any Spanish either. His pronunciation is very slow and his sentances arent flowing at all. Then i hear him "Samuel" "Computer" In the North West".

Perhaps he's viewing his contract offer online?
