My source has informed me that Darius Vassell has agreed to a 3 year-deal to join Spurs and it should be done by Friday.
We are also very interested in Arjen Robben of Madrid.

Seems to match what spursmad has been saying. It's only a matter of time before the deal will be announced.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

And yet 48 hours ago they were telling us that Eto had or was about to fire us off.

Unless he gets a better offer it looks like he could be ours as Barca are burning their bridges. I suspect the shit will be interested in him but not sure they'd be willing to pay so much for an older player.

Just Hughes way of showing these people that we won't piss around and wait forever, makes us look good whether true or not and I take my hat off to him.

How have you come to this conclusion?

They wouldn't pay £25m OR his loyalty fee, the payment would be on drip too. The wages offered by them would be £120k max, whereas here it is £180k, due to their strict salary cap.

Hughes is stating, in public, that we won't be held to ransom, he's aiming these comments directly at certain people, who we may or may not know, and is basically gently asking people to speed up the games or we'll walk.

If he came out and said he was prepared to wait months for Eto and Tevez to sign then he'd look like a twat, we'd look desperate and we'd be a pretty sad club, maybe Hughes is willing to wait but he can not admit it as we need to present a strong front this window.

Also we don't want to be the club who unsettles players only to have them snapped from under our noses by a watching CL club.

Michael does look like he needs to do some work in the close season - get him out with Stevie!

he looks like he's been having a decent enough time while he's been out of action. his idea of getting in shape probably involves only having nine pints instead of ten, and not getting small chips with his large doner from abdul's at 4am; and all this on a monday night..;)

however, in all seriousness, he does have the potential to play a significant part in our future if he can regain the type of form he has shown in the past. he was instrumental in some of best football under eriksson and seemed to have a hunger for the game, and for the ball.

if he can get fully fit and really focus on football for the next few months, he can resurrect his career after it started so promisingly.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

MJ does need a big pre season and there off to Germany next week so he should shed alot there. Glad to see he at least back and fit enough to train one step at a time i think for Johnson now, soon enough making them charging runs past the forwards we missed when Superman was fucked.

Not a chance but I agree with everything else you say.
