MJ does need a big pre season and there off to Germany next week so he should shed alot there. Glad to see he at least back and fit enough to train one step at a time i think for Johnson now, soon enough making them charging runs past the forwards we missed when Superman was fucked.

The boot camp is going to be torture for MJ, lol.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Johnson's startling change in appearance would give that other MJ Michael Jackson a run for his money. He needs to sort it. It is criminal to chuck away the talent he is so fortunate to have been born with. What a complete waster .

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Wouldn't surprise me if Samu is dragging this out to avoid Hughes' boot camp.

This is about as feeble as it gets. Breathtakingly pathetic.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

agree about the michael johnson posts, such a waste if the guy doesn't sort himself out, he has the potential to be a sensational player

Yes, and be prepared for your head to make a 360 degree turn because that's what comes next. Pray God you won't be needing an exorcist.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I'm well worried the rags will one up on us here..don't trust eto'o and co..also worried they'll pull a berbatov again...how did that work out for them again?

We pushed the price up by millions, he flopped and we got Robinho.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I think without being any of our fault Eto's deal has had another negative impact on us. I think the way Mark Hughes and higher management go about the transfers its very professional as they make no fuss or noises about it and go about their business very smoothly, I have been disappointed by Barcelona a team of that stature acting like ass h****. But in my personal opinion City it self is a big enough name that a like of Eto who initally probably wanting to put us off asked a wage of 200k. Even if it is 180k. For someone to be at 180k FOR 3 YEARS after he turns 30 is a win win situation. I think Mark should publically pull out of the deal as Barcelona and Eto both giving a bad name to City which would send a statement to everyone out there.
I personally love the way Mark goes about his deals and wants to wrap it up asap but I also think sometimes him and Garry stay quiet for too long where we need to answer on any comments like that right away.

If we would have clinched the deal early it would been great but I would my money on a likes of Dzeko, Forlan, Huntleaar people that can take the club forwards. If Tevez comes we have enough strikers all we would need to concentrate on being in top 4 by December. I believe if we are in top 4 by January transfer window there would be numerous more options for us to choose from as anyone could see us being in CL in 6 months.

But if we manage to sign Eto..

I WILL OFFER TEVEZ TO MAN U ON A LOAN FOR ONE MORE YEAR SO AT LEAST WE HAVE SOME COMPETITION so he could improve his finishing :P. As poor united are struggling to have a single bid excepted other then a signin from Wigan which should have taken 3 hours took 3 weeks to sign I think a loan out for Tevez would make them competitive

Rag.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I don't think the rags would pay anywhere near the wages he would want especially since they apparently won't sign anyone over 25 so can't really see it

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Tevez to Man U was a joke guys just to rub in to Rags for not getting Benzema and hopefully no one else besides Valencia. Other wise I cant wait to see him in our latest blue white and black shirt even the ugly ones would look rocking in the home and away kit. And just to let everyone know theres only one club I support and religiously follow that is Manchester City. And I am just waiting for the day we defeat Real Madrid in CL with Kaka still being there and that would be the happiest day of my life. Man U is not even a concern any more we have better players then them and our forward line would make Van De Saar wish why he did not retire this season instead of letting 4 goals in before half time.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

The rags may sign him but i cant see it. Firstly theyd lose him for a month in january and they arent exactly rich on striking options as it is. Secondly his cost and age would be prohibitive to them and thirdly even if they did like they did with berbaflop all it does is eat into their budget for other areas of the team which need strengthening.

I personally think this is a rag journo trying to boost the fans morale after they lost their best player and top target to the same team in a short space of time. He would recieve no more money at the rags than he would at barca by staying there an extra 2 years or year and lets be honest who would you rather play with. xavi, iniesta, messi, henry or anderson, carrick, fletcher, giggs and rooney

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

i think they might sign sam, there targets are drying up, benzema and ribery both want to play in spain and villa wants to stay in spain, they might go for aguero at athletico

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I think the problem is that top players now see spain as the pinnacle for a few reasons.

A team from spain are the current european champions, the tax situation is alot better over there, the climate is alot better over there, and they have clubs with just as much history and tradition as clubs in england.

Therefore to tempt the top players over you have to be able to offer players something that they cant. For united it used to be the name they could offer, RM and Barca can now offer the name and match the money. chelsea can offer the money and the same chance at winning trophies, benitez and wenger have alot more pull on an international level than baconface. I know the english press ram it down our throats that he is the greatest manager of all time and his achievements cant be ignored but his pull and clout still only remains over here, ancelotti, bentiez and wenger i think are much more respected throughout europe than he is and therefore can offer what he can for players coming to the english league.
