Villa to Barcelano to be announced in the next few days.

Eto'o to be done before we head for South Africa.

Now I know a lot of you think I'm just stating the obvious now and that it's easy to guess, but a few people on here know that I've been saying this for a few weeks now.

ive taken notice of what you have been writing, this deal imho has all ways hinged on barca getting a striker to replace him and i personally think barca have been stubborn in this way with eto'o to make sure they had the time to get villa to appease the fans before eto'o left.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I think that we shud just pay the signing on fee coz it will work out aroound the same price as Robinho and its not like were bursting the bank paying out for him.

Barça and Manchester City seek a way in agreement by Eto' or The Barça wants to put an end to the 'soap Eto' or' as soon as possible and in the better
way for all the parts

The future of Eto' or, in the air

MORE INFORMATION Laporta: "I will seek the best exit for Eto' or" PAUL GIBLIN after the storm that was untied at the beginning of week with the press conference of José María Mesalles in which the representative of Samuel Eto' or make public the differences between the player and the Barça, the leaders of the Catalonian club and the Manchester City continue seeking a formula to close an agreement that comply with the demands Satisfy to both clubs.

Mark Hughes, the technician of the City, already announced that they are willing to be "patient" until the negotiations be refloated among Eto' or and Barça. Hughes considers that is worth while to expect if in the end can obtain a forward one of the caliber of the number '9' azulgrana. Besides, it is conscious that the Milan continues in the expectation that be clarified the situation by if has some option to achieve its contracting.

The responsible for the club of Manchester they continue in contact with the of the Barça to adjust the figures around the transfer. The company azulgrana has lowered its economic petitions, that at first were of some thirty million euro, and wait that the City improve its offering to obtain so Eto' or obtain a figure as the cousin of acquisition that fill its expectations and carry to the firm of the transfer.

The situation of tension to which they have arrived the Barça and the player, with the notification of Samuel that would comply their contract and the subsequent offering of renewal for two seasons, they are delaying the resolution of the negotiations. The player is found to the wait of events once their manager already was interviewed with the responsible for the City and they closed some conditions in the case that the agreement among the companies arrive. The forward Cameroonian one would sign for the five next seasons and this new contract would report him some ten million net euro by each one of them.

The Barça, once was decided to dispense with Eto' or, is conscious that needs to carry out the transfer this summer if wants to remove some economic performance therefore from June 30, 2010 would be able to go to any club without existing I transfer some. For that reason he being willing to negotiate a price adjusted by a forward one of the quality of Eto' or, but inside some limits. To their favor he plays that the owners of the Manchester City are determined to convert to their team in a new one Chelsea and for that reason they are forcing to the maximum the negotiating machine to be done with Eto' or and with the Argentine one Carlos Tévez. They want top-level stars for their project.

The Milan reference concerns me. Have a bad feeling one of them is going to hijack this.

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

Hopefully this will be a good holiday weekend over here in the states and we will get some great news not only on the Eto'o front, but the entire transfer front in general. Personally, I feel that once we get one big piece to fall, i.e. Eto'o or Tevez, we will see other pieces fall into place quickly. Let's just get that first big domino to fall!!

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

After the storm created at the start of the week with Mesalles' press conference, in which Samu's agent made public the differences between the player and Barca, the directors of Barca and City continue to seek a formula for an accord to comply with the demands of the Cameroon and satisfy both clubs.

Mark Hughes, City's manager, already announced that they are disposed to be 'patient' until negotiations between Barca and City re-float (?) Hughes considers it worth waiting if at the end he can get a player of the quality of the Barca number 9. Besides, he's conscious that Milan are waiting in the wings to see if the situation clears in case they have a chance of signing him.

The City bosses are in contact with those of Barca to adjust the figures/details of the transfer. Barca has lowered it's economic demands, which to start with were some 30 million euros, and expect City to improve their offer in order to satisfy Eto's loyalty fee and effect the transfer.

The tense situation between Samu and Barca, with the statement of Et'o that he would complete his contract and the later offer of a 2-season contract, is holding up the resolution of the negotiations. The player finds himself awaiting events once his manager (agent) has met City and closed the contract details, in case that the 3 parties reach an accord. The Cameroon frontman will sign for 5 seasons and this new contract is reported at 10M euros net pa.

Barca, having taken the decision to sell Eto'o, are conscious that they need to carry out the transfer this summer in order to get some money, as next 30th June he can go to any club free of charge. Therefore they are prepared to negotiate a revised price for a player of Samu's quality, but within certain limits. In their favour is the fact that the owners of City are determined to turn their team into the new 'Chelsea' (aarrrggghhhh) and therefore are doing the maximum they can to sign Eto'o and the argentine Carlos Tevez. The want stars of the first order for their 'project'.

Looking better and better.

I have always had the horrible feeling that Milan are going to step in again. If they do this will drag on and on with them doing the whole deal in public. Please dont let this be Ronaldinho part 2.
