Barcelona sign Keirrison to secure Villa?

Barcelona has this afternoon competed the signing of Keirrison from Brazilian side Palmeiras. The fee is set to be in the region of £13m and potential add-ons of another £3m.

We understand that Keirrison could be immediately loaned out to Valencia as part of the proposed deal to take David Villa to the Camp Nou.

Valencia want around £45m for the Spanish International, but could accept £40m plus the Keirrison on loan for next season.

Seems Barca are getting ready to get rid of Eto'o....all this will just be his agent trying to get more wages from city or a contract extension from Barca

They've offered him a contract extension but it doesn't match City's wage offer and it is no improvement on what he is already being paid. Here's an analogy. If, for arguments sake, there was only one year remaining on Elano's contract and he were offered an extension on exactly the same salary that he is already on, he would go on hunger strike.

ah i see.....ffs it's a kaka scenario all over again

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I think he will stay at Barca :/ Spursmad could be wrong for the first time ever!

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

If Laporta is so "incensed" by Eto'o's stance and is willing to do his "utmost to force the transfer" offering him a two-year contract extension seems a pretty strange move.

It isn't SpursMad, it's his source. SpursMad is still sticking by what his source is saying, it's very interesting.

Wow..this thread has gone a bit Pete Tong!

For what it's worth heard from an ITk'er tonight who says it's all bollocks from Eto's agent in an attempt to get even more money for himself.
The deal is apparently good as done.
Really wish I could say who it was but I'd blow my/his cover big time.

If it turns out to be bollocks so be it-add me to the list. And I'll twat him on behalf of us all when I see him next.

Good news then mate. Hopefully anyway!

Encouraging. This whole situation is a shambles. Media saying one thing, ITKers saying another. I hope we find out what happens tomorrow. Cannot take anymore :(

Re: Samuel Eto'o [merged]

I think he's just waiting to sign after we release the new kit. A bit harsh on our modest Thomas Cook and Le Coq but the boy just loves Umbro/Ethiad. Personally I think he could wear the new weird blue jacket thing but maybe he's got a problem with that too the fussy so'o.

P.S. I think he'd be a Fo'ol not to jo'in us'.

Eto'o... if he does sign what number would he take. Bojinov's number 9?

Put's Eto'o in a worse position than before. Laporta has taken away Eto'o loyalty payment as he knows he won't sign his new deal as it would just take him to an age where he couldn't command a large signing on fee.
