So, to summarise:

- Eto'o has decided to leave barca.
- We have imposed a 48hr limit for him to make a decision.
- We want the situation resolved for fear of "bigger" clubs coming in for him.
- We want to have him out in S Africa as it'd make marketing sense.
- Barca lowered their asking price and that has been seen as bad business on their behalf.

We all love Spursmad and his posts, but the fact is it is not 100%. When we have paid them the cash and the player is registered as ours...THEN and only then, is it 100%. It is looking positive though and that Shaun Custis from the Sun seems to think he'll be ours. He sounded very positive on the 5 live gossip show last night.

Sounds good to me. They have not spoken since it all kicked off, bad blood and a complete break down in the relationship between player and club.

Eto staying on as their first choice forward is looking more difficult for all parties. Looks untenable really...

id say bad in one way because he still has to reject/accept the two-year offer contract extension but on the other hand it could be good news for us because barca have made an offer for villa and they need the funds from the eto sale? (maybe?....hmmm)

If i was Hughes i'd fuck this Eto'o character off , and look elsewhere ....... not only would he allegedly rather join the rags than us , and would even lower his wages to go there .... but the Barca president now claims that Eto'o won't even answer his phone calls , and is leaving the spanish club in limbo ....... he sounds like a whole load of trouble to me ..... doesn't look in any rush whatsoever to come here either.

Hughes should wake up to what's really going on here ... and move on!

The problem is all that could just be media bullpoo, lets not get to negative about Eto'o as lets be honest there seems to many rumours and very little facts to start saying we should scrap our hard work.

Yep, sound logic that... Lets take a made up article and use it to judge people...

The best we can gather from articles and QUOTES is that the delay is down to the loyalty payment.. NOT whether he wants to come here or not... Man Utd have NEVER been mentioned by Barca or ANYONE other than rubbish red top newspapers...

He is not answering calls because he has been treated like turd by Barca... they want rid... Fair enough...
