Posting a comment giving a view on good and bad performances does not mean anyone is panicking. To say it was only a training game is no excuse if a City 11 put their coats down in a car park for a kick about they should be trying to win. They were trying to win today and some players were not good enough.

Weiss is a young lad, and at least he was trying to change the game. Ok so he does need to lear when to pass, when to shoot and when to try stepovers. But I remember seeing Tranny when he first played and he was the same. Fans slagging off a 19 year old lad for trying to beat a player is just stupid! Give the kid a break.
Agree with all the sentiments about the overall performance though. Not good enough.

both 'sets' of views are right; it was a friendly (supposedly) and pre-season so we are not going to be at 100% BUT there were many first team players out there and the deficiencies are still too apparent unfortunately - thios of course does not mean that we won't have a good season but we're all disappointed to lose and play poorly

It was friendly against a committed, half decent team who are well ahead in their preparations. We are about to embark are some of the best times ever to be a City fan-look at the quality shown even today by Barry and Adebayor-they are top players. Add Robby, Ireland, Tevez and a fit SWP to that and we have a collection of players we have not seen together for decades. Look at Bridge-he has shown on this tour why he is worth the money we paid.
People's ignorant, ridculous criticism is laughable. Shaun is clearly behind the other players in terms of fitness. Weiss is an amazing talent-but a kid-get off his back FFS..and Petrov was by some distance our most dangerous player and shows he has recovered from a very bad injury.
A top quality left footed centre half is all this team needs to be in with a real chance of winning something this year.
Let's enjoy it FFS.
