you sure? I know we have a record similar with Peter Walton, but this bloke as well?
He played well for us against Newcastle. Just hope this match isn't his apology.
If he was the referee against Newcastle, how can he have been the referee for 20 successive City failures? More nonsense obviously. As for the game, I can see a birthday brace from Tevez and a Dzeko special in a 3-1 victory.

Im not sure of current injuries etc but this would be my team

------------------hart--------------------

richards--------kompany----kolo---------kolorov

--------------dejong-----yaya----------------

---------------------silva----------------------

swp--------------dzeko-------------------tev

tev and swp are not wingers in this system though i would instruct swp to look to play wide (as this is his natural game anyway) when needed....he adds pace and width..he is ntot at his best when instructed to come inside.

dejong (if fit) does his normal job

yaya - box to box

silva can drop a little deeper whe defending (if needed) but to be the link man

tev to roam.....dzeko to play centrally (it is already clear that he is no use whatsoever in wide positions)

koloriv to add width from the left...instructing him to whip balls in at pace for dzeko

swp can also do this from the right 9though crossing aint his strong point its not as bad as some make out)

subs

given, guidetti, nimley, lescott, viera, (zabba...if not on the pitch), milner

if richards aint fit then put zabba in their

De Jong and Richards are probably out.

Zabba- Toure- Kompany- Kolarov
----------- Barry------------------
-------Milner-----Yaya-------------
-------------Silva-----------------
----------Tevez-Dzeko -----------

Given-Boateng-Jo-SWP-Viera-Guidetti-Lescott
Like last game shift between diamond 1-2 and a fluid front 3 with Silva as the treq. drifting from the right.
or this if we start with old midfield setup.
Boateng- Toure- Kompany- Kolarov
--------Zabba---- Barry----------
------------Yaya---------------
Silva-----------------Tevez----
----------Dzeko ---------------

watch the interview with bob, straight from the horses mouth. "we need to tighten up and would be happy with 3, 1-0 on the trot" more or less :(

i dont think getting 3 goals up and being relatively safe from fluke equalisers appeals to bob. i think he likes the slow build up against these weaker sides so as to give them enough time to pack the penalty area and get 11 men behind the ball. then let our best players who like playing between the lines struggle to find room to weave there magic.

we need to let the fucking hand brake off especially against struggling sides.

I wud play yaya toure up front with dzeko pace and power combined put boatang centre back for kompany alongside toure and play kompany cenre midfeld strong spine of the team and play tevez wide to create.
1.hart

3.kolarov.lb
4.k.toure cb
5.j.boateng.cb
6.v.kompany def mid
7.n.dejong def mid
8.d.silva left mid
9.c.tevez.right mid
10.e.dzeko striker
11.yaya toure.striker

ive left barry out to give the team more pace tevez wide and silva roaming with yaya down the middle with dzeko and kompany holding with de jong looks good but not a chance will it happen lol!
