I hope this result is a wake up call to both players and fans

We're not the finished article, we aint gonna win the league. But we have the makings of a very very good side. We'll be different class once everyone is fit. Hopefully most of them will be back after the international break

We have the most negative 3 man midfield possible.

Why oh why we couln't have gone Yaya, Barry, Milner or Milner, Yaya, Silva is beyond me.

And don't tell we would have been dominated in midifield. Either of those 3 can keep the ball brilliantly.

True. Zabaleta or Silva should have been substituted for NDJ in the second half.


Without Barry in midfield, de Jong did not have the luxury of being a 'cherry picker'.

The minute de Jong ran like a headless chicken and committing fouls or mistimed his tackles I felt a sense of deja vu. That added negativity puts more pressure on our defence.

Mancini needs to learn how to beat these type of sides....

So its Mancini fault that Tevez cant score from 8 yards out or YAYA cant finish oh and there goalie makes a fantastic save from Ade....... grow up, we were mugged.... we should have been 3 up !!! these things happen.

We've just signed balotelli. give the guy a chance to play. Some of you have got spoilt with all that money. You think one bad performance and players need replacing. Relax. It'll come good. It takes time.

If those 2 chances had been taken when we were bossing the game, (tevez & Yaya) that result would have ended like the Liverpool game and all the doom merchants would now be purring about how great we are. The only difference between this and the Liverpool game was the finishing.

here we go with sunderland fans on the radio - and that tw*t alan green, errr, loving it.

I have only two concerns (having only listened to the radio) after this....

1. clearly the inability to push home the advantage when we sounded utterly dominant in the first half, though suspect that on most occasions like this we will be out of sight by the time they are allowed their half time cuppa.

2. the seeming inability to cope with a different mentality and game plan from sunderland in the second half.

disappointing of course to lose in this way - the longer the second half went on the more I was thinking a point would be a fair result, though what happens to us after half time if its clear that we are suddenly under threat and not enjoying the dominance of the first half....seemingly we didn't have many answers.

Hahaha PMSL, I bet you have never even seen Dzeko live. I love the Bundesliga and watch it extensively. The difference between Ade and Dzeko is very little with Ade probably coming out on top.

The only reason you would say that is based on the youtube compilations of him. Now please go and watch some compilations of Ade last season and at Arsenal and tell me he looks any worse than Dzeko..

What makes you come to the conclusion that I haven't seen Dzeko play live?

Dzeko > Ade, simple. I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me.

The difference is Ade WAS a brilliant player and Dzeko IS a brilliant player.
