no wonder the rags laugh at us we go on about being a big club haha don't make me fucking laugh, last night was a fucking joke the atmosphere was shit, the attendance was shit and some on here go on about ticket prices and beer, fuck off

if you live in the northwest and you did not go last night i question your loyalty to city, it goes to show for me how many hard core fans we actually have and it looks like there are no more than 25000 of us

who gives a shit who we are playing i would go and watch city play the dog and duck if they are at home simple as that, as someone said even villa had 30000

we the fans need to change our mentality or we will always be regarded as a small club by the likes of the rags etc and stop coming out with feeble excuses of no beer, shit opposition (like you go watch the oppo any way), board could not be arsed so why should we, needs to be cheaper a fucking fiver for kids (you cant get in the cinema for that you fucking tight minged fuckers), if you come out with any of this shit you are deluding yourself and looking for excuses that are not acceptable to any real hard core blue so stop and fuck off

if you live out of town you are exempt from this rant and if you are from out of town and made it to the game last night RESPECT

let us know and put the so called real mancs are blue brigade to fucking shame, and you lot start fucking turning up at this type of game as it is easy to turn up for big games any clown can do that
if we get to the final watch the loyalists go then clambering for tickets and moaning when they don't get one letting everyone know how big a fan they are, but in reality you aren't that big are you as you did not fucking go last night, if i was city i would give them to the lads and lasses who turned up last night if we make it to the final and fuck the rest of you

Are you a teenager or just plain stupid?

How fucking dare you take the moral high ground just because you attended a game where others didn't bother?

My Dad and his mate live locally but are both approaching 70. They have season tickets and have been at games which I assume you only read about in books - the Wembley finals, the cup Winners Cup, the relegations.

They didn't go because one had a heart attack last year and the other is crippled with athritis. They took the option to watch on the telly. Big deal.

The game was effectively over and we played our reserves.

Grow up.

no you need to read the post properly you numbskull, i am not saying i am a bigger fan or anything of the sought, but what i am saying is last night was a fucking joke, i am sick of hearing the lame excuses of it was a reserve side, theres no beer, its on tele, its to expensive blah blah blah
lets face it we don't have enough hardcore fans to fill the stadium on a shitty uefa/cup game thats my point and it is been proven time and time again down the years

for me it needs to change the scousers had 40000 at there match so why don't we
to many fair weather supporters in my opinion who need to step up

because at the end of the day 9 out of 10 of the no shows just could not be arsed FACT

Liverpool were offering £40 for 4 tickets. Work it out instead of labelling people numbskulls.

Liverpool have had pretty much sustained success for the past 50 years and are one of the best supported clubs in the world. Even they had to do ticket deal to get their 40k.

Guess what? Nobody cares about the early round of the UEFA Cup. It's paying money that most haven't got to watch our B Team thump a bunch of amateurs on a Thursday night when it's on TV and you can watch it for nothing in the comfort of your own home/pub.

If it wasn't my birthday, I wouldn't have bothered myself. Getting to the CoM is a utter pain in the arse for me if I also want a pint, and bloody expensive if I don't.

I'm sorry if the true reality of football supporting has just dawned on you, but unfortunately to most people City isn't the most important thing in their life. They have work, families and friends to think about and football is just a game that they go to watch on Saturday and the odd Wednesday.

You can call people for not being hardcore enough for you. Happily enough, you aren't hardcore enough for me. Did you go to Romania? Did you go to the Faroe Islands? Did you go to all of the early rounds of the UEFA two seasons ago? When was the last time you missed a game home or away?

You need to step up, and stop being such a fairweather fan.

The atmsophere was rubbish but the little pocket of singers in the South Stand had a great time. Even some of the old classics came out.
Thank you I was the pissed up lad in the maroon jacket having a great time. We was signing some old classics.

Haha I was a couple of rows in front, the guy who was rudely heckled for not singing about Foe clearly enough.

Im a wheelchair season ticket holder in block 203 and pretty much try to get to evey home game. My helper pays half towards my tickets, so we don't get that bad of a deal. I live fairly local (Wythenshaw). Was there last night and comented to my mate how the Timisoara fans were out singing us. Joked to him thet they all worked at Asda (or is that the Polls). Tried to get a 'if youe watching on the tv your a c**t going. I always try to join in with any chants going, even try to make up a couple (Useless Bore, Adebayor) We always stay to then end of the game, won draw or lose. I have not joined the cup scheme but if we need a ticket we go to the ground rather than phone (gives me a chance to go round the shop and actually get to see stuff). Im just happy that City give me the chance to go and watch football in a disabled friendly stadium

Not sure about the attendance, I thought that went off number of cards scanned on the night rather than tickets issued. Possibly a way to have got a bigger crowd could have been to include this game in the price of the season ticket. Or some sort of voucher for money off food or at the shop. Or possibly inflated loyalty points (200 say)

I remember in the 70s when you had to collect tokens for games. Some of the smaller games had special ones that you had to give up for big games. In this day when tickets are pre sold and a lot have season tickets then these would have to go to big away games ie loyalty points + token for the rags at OT
