Thank you I was the pissed up lad in the maroon jacket having a great time. We was signing some old classics.

Haha I was a couple of rows in front, the guy who was rudely heckled for not singing about Foe clearly enough.
Lol remember that, we had a good time its a shame to many fans were worrying about empty seats instead of enjoying them selfs.

Im a wheelchair season ticket holder in block 203 and pretty much try to get to evey home game. My helper pays half towards my tickets, so we don't get that bad of a deal. I live fairly local (Wythenshaw). Was there last night and comented to my mate how the Timisoara fans were out singing us. Joked to him thet they all worked at Asda (or is that the Polls). Tried to get a 'if youe watching on the tv your a c**t going. I always try to join in with any chants going, even try to make up a couple (Useless Bore, Adebayor) We always stay to then end of the game, won draw or lose. I have not joined the cup scheme but if we need a ticket we go to the ground rather than phone (gives me a chance to go round the shop and actually get to see stuff). Im just happy that City give me the chance to go and watch football in a disabled friendly stadium

Not sure about the attendance, I thought that went off number of cards scanned on the night rather than tickets issued. Possibly a way to have got a bigger crowd could have been to include this game in the price of the season ticket. Or some sort of voucher for money off food or at the shop. Or possibly inflated loyalty points (200 say)

I remember in the 70s when you had to collect tokens for games. Some of the smaller games had special ones that you had to give up for big games. In this day when tickets are pre sold and a lot have season tickets then these would have to go to big away games ie loyalty points + token for the rags at OT

200 loyalty points!!!!! Jesus Christ, you only get 190 points for forking out £420+ on a season ticket.

Agreed, I love the early Europa league/Carling Cup games because I can sit with my mates, have a sing and a good laugh. I'm not sure if it's particularly healthy though because it's impossible to stay sober on Thursday night apparently.

Are you a teenager or just plain stupid?

How fucking dare you take the moral high ground just because you attended a game where others didn't bother?

My Dad and his mate live locally but are both approaching 70. They have season tickets and have been at games which I assume you only read about in books - the Wembley finals, the cup Winners Cup, the relegations.

They didn't go because one had a heart attack last year and the other is crippled with athritis. They took the option to watch on the telly. Big deal.

The game was effectively over and we played our reserves.

Grow up.

no you need to read the post properly you numbskull, i am not saying i am a bigger fan or anything of the sought, but what i am saying is last night was a fucking joke, i am sick of hearing the lame excuses of it was a reserve side, theres no beer, its on tele, its to expensive blah blah blah
lets face it we don't have enough hardcore fans to fill the stadium on a shitty uefa/cup game thats my point and it is been proven time and time again down the years

for me it needs to change the scousers had 40000 at there match so why don't we
to many fair weather supporters in my opinion who need to step up

because at the end of the day 9 out of 10 of the no shows just could not be arsed FACT

Well, I was there, and I did my share of the singing, but not for any of the songs about our neighbours.
I'm not the only one who feels this way, but if you want a better atmosphere, try singing about CITY, and people like me will join in.
The only time I'll sing any songs about them is on Derby day, and then I won't sing anything to do with, or mentioning Munich.

This business about being outsung by Timisoara, well they were getting behind their team, not trying to put down Steaua or Dinamo.
